Enjoyed the costa brava - the coves and sea, walks on the coastal path as well as visiting some of the old villages in the area. The swimming pool was good but no flumes, etc. we noticed that this is being upgraded for 2016. The shop was good and we enjoyed the bakery with fresh bread, etc. Every day. Anne-Marie (13 September 2015)
Very enjoyable Robin from Stonehouse (10 September 2015)
Excellent holiday, parc in ideal situation for exploring surrounding area which was very varied ranging from big bustling city of barcelona, old historic town of girona and all the beautiful coastal and hill towns too. Ian from Thirsk (08 September 2015)
Very enjoyable holiday on a beautiful stretch of coastline. Linda from Tiverton (05 September 2015)
Lovely break, great site! boys loved the pool and beach being so close. Kathryn from Nottingham (23 August 2015)
This is our 9th visit to cala gogo and I guess that says it all! we love coming here. Even when the weather let's us down as it did for part of our holiday we still leave with a positive feeling. Looking forward to next year. Annabelle from Hertford (23 August 2015)
Great location next to a lovely beach, with some fantastic snorkeling. Our caravan had superb views (there is quite a steep walk to the top of the park). the pools were a little disappointing as no inflatables were allowed. Our 8 year old loved the min disco which is held 3 times per week. The eurocamp couriers were excellent: really helpful and friendly. Emma from Worthing (23 August 2015)
Overall the site was exactly as described in the brochure. Lots of good facilities. It was steep so great exercise getting to the beach. Sarah from Taunton (22 August 2015)
We had an excellent holiday at a really nice campsite. the walk down and up to the beach was not too much of a problem. the campsite restaurant was a bit over priced and poor quality. shame the football & ping pong were so far from everything else. apart from that, we were very happy. David from Nottingham (12 August 2015)
We had a great week at cala gogo. The park itself was very clean and the bakery and supermarket were well priced and had a brilliant variety. The pools were great and we had no trouble getting sun loungers in the morning. It gets busy around midday but even then, with three pools to choose from it never gets too crowded. . the beach bar was nice and the staff were very helpful, again we found the prices very reasonable. . our eurocamp guides were very helpful and nice. . the hill was steep as advertised but you get used to it quickly. The tractor goes from the beach to the pool which is about half way up the site, it's about another 3/4 min walk to the euro camp caravans so not too bad and it's a great way to work off all the lovely cakes from the bakery. . the beach was very busy, the sand is quite course but the sea is always in close. It's stunningly beautiful at sunset. . the town was about a 20 min walk with a seven year old, it was busy but had a great selection on restaurants and souvenir shops. It cost 9.80 euros for a taxi back to the park so we would walk in and get a taxi back. We went to aquadiver one day, there is a free bus that picks you up from the camp and takes you back at the end of the day. It was fun with a good range of rides, I have a 7, 10 and 12 year old and they all had a great day. . we had a great holiday and would definitely use euro camp again, they organised the flights, taxi transfers and insurance and everything worked like clock work. We didn't have one single problem. We would definitely go back to cala gogo although now I know how fab eurocamp is, we're looking forward to visiting other sites. Cheri from Gloucestershire (12 August 2015)
Lovely campsite with welcoming on site staff. the camp site is situated on the side of a hill which provides excellent views of the bay and keeps you fit. the 'train' known as the gua gua is useful for getting to and from the beach especially with young children. the caravan plots are reasonable in size and not too over looked. the facilities on site are good- especially the supermarket. Confirmed Holidaymaker (05 August 2015)
We once again enjoyed our stay at cala gogo this year. Eurocamp services and the quality of accommodation and site facilities were fantastic and we can''t fault them. The wifi service at cala gogo was the only downside of our holiday which only annoyed my teenage daughter! the overall cost of our holiday was expensive and may the price next year will be crucial to us visiting again. . Dorothy from Glasgow (31 July 2015)
Very good location. Good nearby town of platja d'aro, palamos and llafranc. Ken from Poole (25 July 2015)
Great holiday, great couriers, great accommadation. a perfect holiday with children. Natalie from Bedfordshire (14 June 2015)
We had a lovely holiday with our two girls who are 1 & 3. The site is well looked after and the children loved having a choice of three pools. There is also an animation team and our eldest enjoyed some of the activities they had on offer. . the onsite supermarket was well stocked and very reasonable in price. The bakery baked throughout the day so you were always able to get fresh bread. . the tractor train down to the beach is great. The children loved it and it meant we didn't have too push the pushchair back up the steep hill. Overall we had a great time and would recommend the parc for a family holiday. Sarah from Bristol (10 June 2015)
Holiday was overall pretty good, a few niggles but nothing which spoilt our holiday. Gemma from Nottingham (04 June 2015)
Lovely holiday really enjoyed it ! camp site was very nice just a little bit hilly . camp site shop very reasonably priced considering on site shops are usually expensive . not allowed to eat and drink by the pool but a sign telling you not to eat and the reason why would be helpful as the life guard blue his whistle across the pool and told us off . if there had been a sign in the first place we wouldn't have got food and drink out and would have saved inbarasment as every one who was new to the pool at some point were told off . otherwise a fantastic camp site and holiday . would definitely go again . x Lisa (02 June 2015)
Overall the experience was not up to the standard of previous eurocamp stays John from Chesterfield (27 May 2015)
This is a great park and we were very lucky that when we booked the part was almost empty - bonus as this is not usually the case,. . the accommodation was fine and everything worked well. Being able to have breakfast on the deck with a view of the sea was fantastic. We didn't get to use the pool as we spent everyday on the beach, but the pools looked good. . . I would book here again. . . pros : . 1. Very well maintained. 2. Good on site bakery. 3. Good (mostly) on site shops. 4. Easy walk to beach. 5. Friendly staff. 6. Very good ablution blocks. . cons:. 1. Poor meat quality in shops. 2. Loud music from pool and beach bars which is not pleasant at night when wanting to relax. On friday night there was a disco or something that was even louder. Graeme from Gets (16 May 2015)
Great campsite and beautiful location on costa brava - shame about the rather aged avant mobile home which we were assigned - the red vinyl sofa was nothing like the photos on the website ! James (04 May 2015)
Beautiful parc overlooking the med. Tractor bus to beach (its a long steep climb back). excellent security and facilities. Lovely area. Clean deep blue/green sea. Many coves, good snorkling. Close by, parfrugels beaches (callela and golfet) all stunning. Palamos, san feliu and platja d'aro so different. Local beach good and you can walk along the cliff path to cap roig (highly recommended). eurocamp bungalows, most occupy lovely plots overlooking the med. Bungalows clean, couriers, very helpful and attentive. Some disco noise in the evening but not too loud or late and the kids need their entertainment, so we didnt mind. Otherwise the parc was realaxing and peacfull (unfortunately you can't pick your neighbours who were neither of these things. The weather was hot and sunny the whole time we were there we liked it so much we are going back next year. Brian from Bridgend (14 September 2014)
Best eurocamp ever been to (and we've been to a few). lovely secluded but not cut off location of our mobile home high up in the camp. Fantastic, well piced shop and bakery on site. Great pool complex not too overcrowded and pleasant cove beach a short walk away. Couldn't fault cala gogo. Jonathan from London (29 August 2014)
Good position of site. Quiet good size pitch. Friendly knowledgeable couriers. Generally well equipped van, Confirmed Holidaymaker from Abingdon (24 August 2014)
Great park, good facilities, friendly staff on site. Catherine from Glos (23 August 2014)
We had a lovely holiday and the parc was as described in the brochure. It is clean and well kept and has everything one needs.reception staff were helpful and eurocamp couriers were fantastic. The beach cafe + bar area with entertainment is in a great location.the beach is lovely but be prepared to search for a space as it is 'small' and crowded. The trek back up the hill is a bit of an effort but a free ,train' operates through the day. The pool complex gets very crowded so if you want to swim the first hour of opening is best.there are supermarkets close by if you don't want to use the well-stocked camp shop. Kim from Hastings (15 August 2014)
Really great holiday in a lovely part of spain Jenny from Dorchester (06 August 2014)
Lovely break, great site and super couriers! Kathryn from Nottingham (05 August 2014)
Cala gogo is a good location and park. Some things don't make sense, the location of the football/basketball pitch and tennis court for one. They are miles away from most campers and at the top of a very steep hill. Direct access beach ok but not the best, but very nice ones to left and right of this and all walkable. Local town is nice too, worth a promenade! Tim (29 July 2014)
We had a super holiday, dividing our time betweeen sightseeing and relaxing. Confirmed Holidaymaker (12 July 2014)
Excellent family holiday. Plenty to do and activities for the kids, who loved the animation team. Alex from Leamington Spa (09 July 2014)
We have been several years to this camping and love it every time Pieter from Almere Holland (29 June 2014)
This is our 8th time at cala gogo. It suits us so well and ticks all the boxes. This was our first time at the camp in june. Unfortunately the weather was a bit mixed and my daughter who was due to join us for part of the holiday couldn't because of the french air traffic controllers strike.but we still had a good time. In fact trying to work out how to get another week in this year! Annabelle from Hertford (29 June 2014)
I found that there are cheaper mobile houses but overall - superb Robert from Witney (28 June 2014)
Excellent campsite, cant wait to come back next year Sarah from Cardiff (17 June 2014)
Very good value for money. Good facilities for families. Our 2 year old loved the kids pool and the tractor down to the beach. Close to nearby resort and supermarkets. Beautiful beaches within easy driving distance. Clare from Chesterfield (14 June 2014)
The park is good but was let down by dog barking late at night, more than once and dog poo deposited alongside our mobile! apparently dogs are banned during peak times but not in june. Park facilities are good. Stan from Swanley (11 June 2014)
Went during term time in june. Great park with direct beach access. Lots of lovely unspoilt beaches and places within easy driving distance. Was worried about costa brava reputation but needn't have been. With a little bit of planning you can avoid all the horrors of package tourism/full englishes/sunburnt lager louts and enjoy a relaxing holiday in a stunning part of the world. Weather and beaches outstanding. Not sure what going in term time would have been like as the park is very large. Huw from Brighton (10 June 2014)
Fantastic holiday and reps were very helpful. X Carla from Bristol (25 May 2014)
Excellent park with a beautiful beach. Only caveat is that it is a steep hill up and down to the beach, although during the main season they have a little train to get you up and down. Alex from Leeds (25 May 2014)
We chose this park as we were attending the barcelona f1 grand prix and were very surprised by the number of things to do in this area. the coastal walks are fantastic, visits to tossa del mar, gerona and montserrat were excellent and of course barcelona itself. the site has a good restaurant and supermarket and easy access to the beach without having to cross the busy main road. David from Cheltenham (17 May 2014)
Nice parc, dubious weather in the last week of the season in september. Nice beach. Good local area. Confirmed Holidaymaker from Oxford (22 September 2013)
The couriers were really lovely!! Leanne (20 September 2013)
Very good holiday.very friendly couriers. Thank you I will come back again Krzysztof from Swansea (15 September 2013)
This is our third visit to this site and we absolutly love it. the site is beautiful and the location fantastic with lots of places to visit. the couriers are lovely and work extremely hard (despite having to pull all their equipment up a very steep hill). other companies all have buggies !!!. they are both very pleasent and helpful and a credit to eurocamp. Customer 44 (12 September 2013)
Great park. Direct access to great sandy beach in rocky cove (not a concrete beachfront) with toilets! good shop on site. Beautiful but very hilly coastal path in to town or you can take the road - 1km. Great restaurants & shops in town. Beautiful mountain walks 5km away. Only downsides - strangely there were no kids games in the eurocamp office (end of season?), the bar had really loud music until 11:30 but eurocamp pitches were a long way away and the pool was bizarrely cold. The sea was much warmer. We had a great time. Mark (08 September 2013)
We booked our holiday at the last moment and from start to finish we received excellent friendly service, advice and assistance with all our requests. It was a really pleasurable experience dealing with eurocamp and we were delighted with the accommodation as well as with the service we received. Communication and regular updates were great. Thank you! Kay from Bedford (05 September 2013)
We had a fantastic holiday. the atmosphere at cala go go was relaxed and fun. this is the first time we have stayed on a campsite as a family and eurocamp did not disappoint. the accommodation was perfect for our needs. the campsite facilities were great, clean swimming pools that were well manned, the campsite was quiet after midnight and up to 10am in the morning. the beach was beautiful, again clean, safe and secure. we would thoroughly recommend this type of holiday to anyone. Susanna from Tunbridge Wells (27 August 2013)
This was our first eurocamp holiday we usually stay in a villa I have to say this is the best holiday i've had so i'm booking again won't be staying in villa for a long time the security was brilliant and what made the holiday for me was the live entertainment every night .the u2 band was excellent hope they return next year.. Roger from Aveley (22 August 2013)
Just what the wife needed, good quality r&r provide by vfm Ian from Bristol (North) (20 August 2013)
Great camp site for all types of groups.....something for everyone, but some locations are quieter than others, the eurocamp homes are nicely located if you want a peacefull stay but be prepared to walk. The site is on a steep hillside sloping down to the beach and the eurocamp units are at he top end of the site which is not a problem if you don't mind the walk and you soon settle in to it. there is a tractor / train / bus gua gua that runs from the pool/ shop area to the beach which takes about 5 mins and vice versa but be prepared to fight off the holiday makers who are not prepared to queue and try to sneek on from the beach (probably only a small issue in high season only). site is particularly good for older kids (teenagers) but there is definately something for all ages. Beach and coastline is absolutely beautiful and great for snorkellers. There is a fantastic path that runs along the coast up and down the cliff and though caves and links a number of beautiful beaches. It should be noted that the sand is not fine sand but coarser sand with larger granules that is a little harder on the feet but is not really a problem as it does not tend to stick to you as finer sand does. Not many british tourists, mostly spanish, french and dutch with a few other nationalities making it quite cosmopolitan. Fine without a car if you just want to relax and stay close but there are some nice places to visit within a reasonable distance if you take or hire a car. Shop is well stocked and reasonably priced and if you want to eat out the restaurant is ok. Platja d aro is full of restaurants and there are plenty in the area if you don't mind the walk or have a car but generally prices in spain don't seem to be as cheap as I remember and is generally certainly no cheaper than britain to eat out. Overall my family of 5 (3 kids 11, 8 and 5)had a great time and would definitely recommend the site, coastline, the region and the country, viva espańa ! John from Ipswich (19 August 2013)
Excellent site. Built on quite a steep hill so not for the faint hearted, but there is a free camp train to get you to the beach and back which runs very regularly. . . otherwise, everything clean, well equipped, good service. Absolutely lovely! Linzi from Oxford (18 August 2013)
Initially, parc seemed much busier than we had expected. However, our cabin was in a good position with plenty of space around it. This allowed us to enjoy the parc facilities but also get some quieter times when we wanted. Carol (13 August 2013)
Very good location generally for sightseeing and beaches. Mr &Amp; Mrs Burke from Colchester (12 August 2013)
Camping is great freedom of doing what you want when you want. Quality accommodation makes it comfortable. A well run campsite makes it safe, clean with lots of activities . we all had a wonderful break, kids and grown ups alike. Marysia from Saintes, France (08 August 2013)
Gorgeous location lovely bungalow great view and lovely parc had everything you could require on a family holiday Dianne from Stonehaven (17 Jul 2013)
In general the parc was very quiet. The entertainment was hit and miss. Brenda from Dublin, Ireland (08 Jul 2013)
Nice friendly park with lots to do for younger children , playa d'aro close by about 2k down the road , staff friendly and the mini kids club and evening kids disco was brilliant. Howard from Swansea (05 Jul 2013)
A bit disappointed with the location of the lodge, as we were just looking out on the roof of other lodges. Weather, food and surroundings areas really wonderful. Customer 58 from Durham (22 Jun 2013)
Very enjoyable relaxing holiday camp very well equipped for my needs, with friendly staff and fellow holiday makers David (19 Jun 2013)
Lovely accomodation and very nice eurocamp courier. However, we were traveling from our house in northern spain to the campsite and my wife left her passport at the house. It was an hour's journey to the campsite from the house and when we arrived we were told by the campsite staff that we could not go in and would have to return to get the passport even though I had my passport. We asked if it was necessary for us all to go back (we have 2 young children) and if 1 could stay whilst my wife went back to get the passport. The reply was no and that if we were not happy we could go and stay somewhere else. We were only staying for 1 night and so we lost 2 hours of our short stay. We were extremely disappointed by the rude, arrogant and abrupt attitude of the woman behind the reception. It was not a good welcome. Howard (16 Jun 2013)
