Lovely holiday park and although only there for one night while passing through we managed to use a few facilities and everything was perfect for us.
Christopher from Stafford (19 September 2015)

Another good experience with eurocamp
Diane from Redditch (13 September 2015)

So much to do and see in luxembourg
Graham from Gloucester (11 September 2015)

Very welcoming, clean and friendly site, in a fantastic location. We will definitely be going again
Susan from Leicestershire (06 September 2015)

Janet & ken were fantastic and so helpful.
Louise from Birmingham (01 September 2015)

Excellent location. Great site and facilities. only minor quibble would be the showers were poor with only a few seconds run each press of the button. The were very clean though! would definitely return.
Thomas (01 September 2015)

First time at this site. Met by couriers and promptly took is to accommodation, after a going through the important information. Had a minor issue in site, reported to karen and was dealt with efficiently. La rochette quaint and nice for a coffee. Luxembourg city excellent and well worth a visit along with the cable car in vianden brilliant! the parc in general was good, however the table service and ti be honest service was not that good. This will need to improve dramatically if the parc is growing over the coming years.
Matthew from Harlow (31 August 2015)

A lovely campsite located in a beautiful part of luxembourg.
Rebecca (29 August 2015)

This is a lovely parc, badly let down by a very poor pool. It is a very small pool, and the slides are the kind you can buy at toys r us. . the parc itself is lovely, set in a beautiful location, and the pitch sizes are superb - there is room to park your car off the roads. The local town, larochette, is very picturesque too. . . luxembourg city is only 30 mins drive away, and well worth a visit. . we used this parc as a stopover to and from our main holiday parc in germany.
Scott from Portsmouth (29 August 2015)

This campsite's pool isnt as good as the pictures make it look, convenient stop en route to italy.
Charlotte (28 August 2015)

A great camp for families with young children. Lots of activities and parks etc.
Lindsey from Manchester (28 August 2015)

Only problem was poor wifi
Inger (28 August 2015)

I highly recommend luxembourg, this site is in a lovely location within walking distance to local town. the surrounding area is stunning, and campsite just in the right location to visit sites. Friendly clean family friendly site.
Paula from Llanbedr (21 August 2015)

Was just a stopover but a very clean and well organised campsite and mobile home. We spent a day in larochetter - very pretty - too many wasps but unavoidable! overall very good.
Kate (19 August 2015)

Lovely holiday in a beautiful country. our holiday was packed with days out and sightseeing. luxembourg is a gem of a place.
Gill from Sheffield (11 August 2015)

Well run, relaxing campsite with a great all weather swimming pool. there was plenty of play areas for young children. Quite a steep walk into sleepy village/town but enjoyed not having to get in the car.
Angela from Market Weighton (09 August 2015)

I gave the above scores as I considered them fair. The couriers did a first class job being everywhere at once.
Donald (07 July 2015)

A nice chill out parc
Corinne from Norwich (30 June 2015)

Larochette was gorgeous- nice park with pony rides book able which pleased our eight year old.
Jacqueline from Kilmarnock (29 June 2015)

The mobile home we stayed in was so badly planned and very unsafe!. 1. The microwave was on top of fridge freezer, far to high to us ( & we are tall). 2. The toilet is at one end of the accommodation , sink at other end !. 3. Very short of low level storage space, especially in kitchen. 4. The blankets smelt of urine! thankfully exchanged with a new duvet. But still a bad experience on holiday. These are but a few of our experiences, we have stayed in many mobile homes, this rates the worst! yet most modern. Certainly the most dangerous from a health & safety point. Very disappointing .
Colin (26 June 2015)

Used as a one night stopover when travelling to manor farm in june 2015. Stayed in 3 bed esprite - nice clean accommodation with plenty of space for four adults and a dog. Staff friendly and helpful, even made my dog very welcome on arrival - nice touch he loved the attention. Fantastic site - thank you. Visiting again next year.
Anthony (22 June 2015)

Excellent all round, especially in june with no blooming kids about.
Albert from Doncaster (14 June 2015)

Will visit again
Michael from Bridgend (06 June 2015)

Brill really enjoyed it
Terri from Blackpool England (04 June 2015)

From the moment janet and ken welcomed us upon arrival to the morning we left and said our goodbyes. We had a great time, super site, facilities just right for a relaxed holiday, with three teenagers.
Julie from Gloucestershire (30 May 2015)

Over all the holiday was good, although I found the staff in the restaurant very slow, and not very helpful. I approached the manager with a problem, which was the local kids coming in to park and hitting and swearing at my kids, the manager did nothing at all and seemed like he didn't care, all he said was that he can't stop them coming in to the park
Louisa (30 May 2015)

Fantastic parc, beautiful scenery, immaculately clean. facilities great. would go back in a heart beat.
Max from Kent (22 May 2015)

A lovely surprise. The area was beautiful and the site very well maintained
Judy (22 May 2015)

Great location
Customer 29 (22 May 2015)

Excellent campsite
Terence from York (20 May 2015)

This site is extremely well kept, with big pitches, separated from each other by hedges and mature trees.the small town nearby is an interesting visit for a couple of hours but there is plenty to do further afield. The surrounding countryside is made up of gentle rolling hills and green valleys. Trier, just over the border in germany is about 45 minutes drive away and well worth a visit. Nearer eckternach is also an interesting town about 20 minutes drive from the site.
Anne from Oldham (18 May 2015)

Great little parc, very quiet surroundings. luxembourg has lots of places to visit and loads of good places to eat. it is also really easy to cross into france, germany or belgium for a spot of sightseeing or shopping there. the lux people are really friendly and you are made to feel welcome in pretty much all shops, tourist sights and cafe/restaurants.
Kim (16 May 2015)

Luxembourg is a beautiful country, so clean and the scenery is wonderful. Worth spending a few more days in, than just using as a stop over site
Leslie from Bolton (15 May 2015)

Beautiful setting. Eurocamp couriers were welcoming, helpful, always smiling. Lots of history and scenic places to visit. A brilliant holiday and park. . . .
Kathleen from Lincoln (08 May 2015)

Short visit en route.lovely,peaceful site-short drive into mullerthal.lovely town-echternach.good food,cafes
Customer 35 (04 May 2015)

Overall great holiday
Gary from Sheffield (01 May 2015)

Couriers ken and janet really very helpful, and accommodation had been thoroughly cleaned and equipment in a good standard.
Derek from Cardiff (17 April 2015)

Parc very nice, accommodation was first week of opening so grass and shrubbery around property was a bit threadbare, however this did not detract from the stay. Balcony could perhaps have been retreated as also looking a bit worn, but 'home' was clean - like new inside and suited us very well
Matt from Brighton (13 April 2015)

Lovely park in great location
Samantha from Diss, Norfolk (12 April 2015)

Very pretty area plenty to see and do,we took our pet dog away with us this year and he had a marvellous time, good area for dog walking, weather was good but a bit chilly
Joan from Birkenhead (12 April 2015)

Overall holiday rubbish as I became ill and had to come home!. not your fault but it really was a rubbish holiday. The couriers were fantastic and very helpful.
Confirmed Holidaymaker (12 April 2015)

Lovely area, great for getting out and about. Very easy drive from calais with no toll roads.
Tom from Canvey Island (09 April 2015)

We had a wonderful time at birkelt in luxembourg. It was our first time in the country and it didn't disappoint. Eurocamp's overall service was first class.
Dwayne from Telford (04 April 2015)

Fantastic. We love it here. Great couriers, very happy to help with everything in all weathers! super pool which is nearly empty early in the season. Lots to do and see. Beautiful clean stunning country.
Stephanie from Oxfordshire (03 April 2015)

Overall it was ok as only slept there . was out whole day
Aisha (03 April 2015)

Even though the week we spent at birkelt was filled with rain it was a nice relaxing camp, beautiful location and facilities were good. The local area was very nice and close to local attractions.
Nicholas from Cambridge (02 April 2015)

We really enjoyed our holiday here, the parc had good facilities and was in a lovely location with a (steep) walk down to a pretty town. The restaurant had some of the best food we have ever had on a campsite with main meals starting at about 10 euros. Free wifi available for 2 devices in the caravan. Would definitely recommend a visit to the moselle too.
Ian (02 April 2015)

Excellent site in lovely location with everything we needed. All eurocamp and site staff very friendly and helpful.
Roy from Oswestry (11 September 2014)

Very good but we only used this site as a stop over. Its too large and busy for us.
Sally from Stourbridge (10 September 2014)

We loved this site there was plenty to do for children as well as adults. The reps were brilliant also very helpful. We arrived there late because of bad weather on the way and had a young child with us they gave us milk and also a foreign adapter because ours didn't work. The shower blocks were the best i've seen modern and very clean. I would definately go back there again. Full marks!
Carmel from Merseyside (06 September 2014)

Worth a visit. Facilities pretty good. Lovely place.
Mark (01 September 2014)

We just used the campsite for a short stay so didn't explore luxembourg but there are enough activities on site to keep the family entertained. swimming pool, playground, tennis courts are all excellent. The couriers were very welcoming and knowledgeable.
Graham from Hove (31 August 2014)

The reps where rude. There was no entertainment. No life guard in pool. And caravan was filthy
Rebecca from Wiltshire (31 August 2014)

A really nice pretty little parc. Shame the pool complex is not bigger and better for older children.
Christopher from Portsmouth (30 August 2014)

All aspects of the holiday were excellent.
Roland from Balcombe (29 August 2014)

Stayed for two nights before moving on to germany. Lovely location, good walks into town with great views. Enjoyed a walk to the castle, then a good value and tasty meal in town. Kids aged 8 & 10 enjoyed the play park and the pool. We went without a car but found site accessible if you don't mind using buses and trains.
Jacqueline (29 August 2014)

Have been to luxembourg many times and am never disappointed with this beautiful country. The accommodation however was badly laid out and very basic.
Cate from Harlow (23 August 2014)

Amazing sight, beautiful country.
Fiona from Near Stratford (23 August 2014)

This camp is really only suitable for families with smaller children. The pitches are small and very close together - no real privacy. The pool is small. You have to pay an extra deposit on site for a barrier card. On leaving, you have hardly any chance of getting the deposit back unless you go hunting for the couriers. With bad weather there is really nothing much to do in the area. We cut our losses and left 2 days early.
Jonathan from Hamburg (Germany) (15 August 2014)

Only stopped for an overnight stay on route to switzerland - accommodation was very clean, courier was very good. Pool was nice and food in restaurant was good and not too expensive. Nice walk into town ( a bit of a hill on way back) but not too much in the town.
Phil (15 August 2014)

Excellent park and facilities. did feel we missed out on a few things because little was in english.
Craig (14 August 2014)

We picked this site because we wanted a break on journey back from italy and because we had not visited the country before. Site was well located with generous pitches and very good facilities. Luxembourg was lovely, with beautiful scenery and a very interesting capital city.
Andrew from Portsmouth (13 August 2014)

Really enjoyed
David from Worksop (12 August 2014)

Fab location. We did lots of forest trail running and sightseeing. Camp was great for the kids too, great facilities. Pool was open 9-9 and undercover when needed. Full 25m pool so we got some lengths done in the morning too.
Lilian from Wales (09 August 2014)

Nice and relaxing place to be. Our esprit 3+1 thingy had it's own almost private garden in a nice quiet area of the park. The park had a decent playground area. The advertised free wi-fi would only work at the reception/playground area while we were there - not in our accommodation or anywhere else on the site - the courier did suggest that unfortunately this might be the case upon our arrival. We looked for the horses but couldn't find them. Also couldn't find any mention of the advertised balloon rides anywhere - I suppose we could have asked reception but we didn't, although at the same time, we didn't see any balloons flying about during our 3 days in luxembourg. Luxembourg city is definitely worth a visit and for anyone who plays tennis, last time we went to luxembourg (about 10 years ago) we played at the sports centre at kockelscheuer (very near luxembourg city) - it wasn't what we had expected - turned out to be an indoor tennis stadium which is used for the atp luxembourg open - venus williams and the like have played there in recent years. The place is still there and i'd assume it's still open to the general public - certainly the best place i'll ever play tennis - unfortunately didn't get round to it this time. A walk from the site down steps takes you down from the hills into larochette, where there are several bars/cafe's, an old church to look around and a castle all within a short walk from the site. Highly recommend the site and the country as a relaxing break for couples. We were there for 3 days as part of a longer eurocamp break and wished we had stayed here a bit longer.
Jonathan (08 August 2014)

The campsite staff were very helpful and the atmosphere within the camp was family friendly. The static caravan was clean and had good quality mattresses for a good sleep. The only negative was that the toilet was very small and it had no wash basin. The shower room area was a good size and had a decent wash basin.
Raymond from Glasgow (04 August 2014)

Resturant a bit on expensive side, 24 euros for a steak is ridiculous, no menu on mon only pasta and average pizzas, larochette quite pretty but overall luxembourg a tad dull, trip to triere in germany best day.
Nick from Richmond Surrey (31 July 2014)

Short stay site very busy
David from Cheltenham (30 July 2014)

Luxembourg is a bit of a surprise. we were not there for long as we used it as a stop over but there is so much to do and explore, we will be visiting again.
David from Chinnor (27 July 2014)

Luxembourg - what a great place to have a holiday! beautiful setting with lots of interesting things for young teenagers to do, from scrambling across the rocks in the river to visiting the museums at diekirch and trier, to messing about in the great swimming pool at the campsite.
Kathryn from Leamington Spa (25 July 2014)

Stayed 23rd july 2014. 2nts..luxenbourg was beautiful especially some of the surrounding towns including viaden which had the cable car up to the castle. however I would not return to this site in birkelt especially not in peak time! every inch of space was taken up with tents or caravans "jam packed"! the pool area was uncomfortable with the amount of people using it. queue for washing machines, some broken! just far too busy. Pleased we only stayed 2 nights.
Confirmed Holidaymaker (25 July 2014)

Good holiday but it rained the 2 days we stayed here. Visited luxembourg city.
Customer 72 from Derby (19 July 2014)

We really only use this camp site as a place to stay before catching the ferry. However a pleasant site in a nice area.
Paul from Blackford (30 June 2014)

Nice quiet site, would not hesitate to book again in future. .
Patrick from Wareham (30 June 2014)

Our first eurocamp holiday. Our couriers were lovely, the park was great, shame it rained most of the weekend but we found lots to do on and off the park.
Fiona from Gutersloh (30 June 2014)

Great on site restaurant here
Confirmed Holidaymaker (27 June 2014)

Another very enjoyable week on a very clean and well maintained site. Good separation between most of the piitches and everything well orgainised.
Katherine from Kent (27 June 2014)

We had a great time in luxemburg and will definately be re-visiting.
Josef from Newbury (26 June 2014)

Fantastic parc. Lovely part of the world.
Neil from Glasgow (26 June 2014)

What a great area, brilliant for bikers, best site layout
Mark from Durham (25 June 2014)

First visit to luxembourg, the prettiest country we've been to. Not spectacular like the alps, switzerland, etc but with lush vegetation, incredible rock formations, etc it is just lovely. . unfortunately, upon arrival, we were horrified to find that the harley davidson rally had virtually taken over the site and their concert continued into the early hours of the morning, despite the 11pm site requirement to keep noise down. Luckily the riders dispersed the following day. Shortly before leaving for our holiday we noted from the eurocamp website that there would be a hd rally but the scale of it wasn't made apparent. Also we felt we should have been contacted by eurocamp to warn us of what was in store. The hd rally is the reason for the grading of 9.
Roger from Southwell, Notts. (22 June 2014)

Lovely parc and good service from rachel and steve
Jackie from Reading, Berkshire (21 June 2014)

Only here for one night as a stopover en route, stayed in safari tent.... wow! we definitely want to return and wish we had stayed longer
Debra from Norfolk (21 June 2014)

An excellent well kept park in lovely surroundings. Luxembourg is a fascinating country with lovely scenery and an interesting history. Lots to explore here.
Alan from Hemel Hempstead (20 June 2014)

Enjoyed this holiday. When we arrived the benelux hog rally was on. Never seen so much chrome. Good fun
Malcolm from Belper (19 June 2014)

The safari tent was great, plenty of room and well equipped. The children's facilities were good and the eurocamp reps really helpful.
Denise from Bournemouth (17 June 2014)

Only there for 2 nights as a stopover en-route to lake garda. Have used the site previously, no complaints. Good restaurant.
Trevor from Leigh (16 June 2014)

Very disapointed with parc restaurant on day of arrival - only fast food, no a la carte.
Geoff from Wokingham (16 June 2014)

A fantastic holiday, we stayed in a lodge and it was immaculate with every facility you could want. the restaurant on site served a good choice of food that was very good and the service was friendly. the eurocamp couriers were extremely friendly and helpful and made sure that all was ok, great with any questions we had too. A childrens disco was advertised but we didnt find that, maybe only in high season.
Karen from Evesham (28 May 2014)

Superb camp ,beautifully clean, fantastic shower block and really helpful couriers
Sarah from Stockport (27 May 2014)

Stunning location and so easy to border hop, a must do is diekirch military museum. The local town is full of bistros and bars,
Brian (19 May 2014)

Lovely campsite, with great facilities for children and easy to reach other places. We had a relaxing and fun holiday and love the safari tents!!
Benjamin from Aylesbury (23 April 2014)

Friendly parc and excellent area for sightseeing
David (22 September 2013)

Holiday went as planned and even with some inclement weather we still enjoyed ourselves.
David from Preston (16 September 2013)

Very good.
Susan from Bingley (16 September 2013)

Weather not so good but the area around the campsite was beautiful. We needed a bit more sun to dry out the muddy paths. Decided to leave early partly because of the weather but also because sunday travel was potentially easier.
Adrian from Cheltenham (16 September 2013)

If you're looking for a location with plenty of nightlife this park, and luxembourg in general, probably is the wrong choice for you. If on the other hand you're looking for a quiet, relaxing break in stunning countryside book away. A well run park, set amongst trees, spotlessly clean and with everything you need for a quiet holiday getaway. Opening hours of the shop are somewhat quirky (closing at 5pm means that you cant buy provisions after a day out) and the site needs to look at how some large touring groups do tend to block the roadways - minor niggles though.
Glen from Suffolk (15 September 2013)

There was not enough going on for small children, especially as the weather was poor.
David from Cardiff (15 September 2013)

Beautiful site in wooded setting
Alison (14 September 2013)

Despite poor weather we thoroughly enjoyed touring the area including the moselle vinyards and visiting luxembourg city. The region is very pretty and a mix of forest and farmland. good quality road surfaces and few cars (except in the city) make driving a pleasure.
Dilys from Bury (14 September 2013)

This parc is in a lovely area - everywhere in luxembourg is only a short drive away. the campsite itself is well laid out, with quite a lot of privacy for the individual units. the camp staff are very friendly and helpful and the small shop on site stocks pretty much everything. we are really looking forward to a return visit next year.
Kim from Axbridge, Somerset (14 September 2013)

Used site as a stop over but a little disappointed, park seemed rather crowded in the erea where we were
Davi from Swansea (13 September 2013)

Our double bed broke when I got up during the night. The couriers were great in fixing it but the wooden slats looked like something out of a p.o.w escape movie! you need more sturdy beds not replacement slats in stock for when they break! not great for a romantic holiday either?
Mark from Deal (09 September 2013)

Useful parc for stopover, good facilities, bar shop etc.
Sally from Birchover (09 September 2013)

We were only at larochette for a couple of nights, en route to herbolzheim. we had been before in 2004, and enjoyed exploring a very nice area. the weather this time was mixed, though not outright bad. larochette is a big site, very well organised, with a fair number of facilities, none of which we actually used this time.
Helen from Lampeter (09 September 2013)

Great park, lovely chalets and in lovely surroundings. The kids loved the pool and the floor level trampolines. The park is large but you don't get that overcrowded feeling as there are plenty of trees and shrubbery to make it feel secluded. Would go again.
Richard from Huddersfield (28 August 2013)

Excellent camp, beautiful setting. We ars booking port grimaud next year!
Stuart from Coventry (26 August 2013)

Good relaxing holiday
Theresa from Thame,Oxon (24 August 2013)

Staff very helpful, accommodation very clean, no t.v but was only a 2 night last min booking if it would have been longer than 2 nights then might have been a problem. All in all we had a great 2 night stay and would go there again.
Karen (18 August 2013)

Lovely site but extremely busy and the restaurant seemed expensive. Staff were really helpful and everywhere was really well maintained.
Amanda from Lancaster (18 August 2013)

Lovely park. Not many british on site. Interesting area.
Jane from Loughton (17 August 2013)

Stayed here for just two nights, one on the way to italy and one on the way back.
Andrew from Dudley (16 August 2013)

This is a lovely family holiday park with very good facilities. There was very good facilities for the children the only problem being all the kids clubs were run in dutch! I would definitely recommend this place for a holiday.
Cathrin from Ammanford (12 August 2013)

Luxembourg was intriguing with the difference in languages used by locals. It is a beautiful country and pristine. A day visit to luxembourg city by train was interesting and full of history.
Charlie from Bangor (10 August 2013)

Excellent site
Lj from Kirton Lindsey (27 Jul 2013)

We chose this site because we wanted to visit a new country, however I would not want to spend too long in luxemburg. Apart from the capital city and nearby vianden there is not much to see in the area. The pool is very good, the shop is adequate and the take away was predictable but reasonable quality.
Sharon from Luton (27 Jul 2013)

Enjoyable time on lovely site. very clean and felt safe. We enjoyed this site and would happily recommend it.
Craig from Inverurie (21 Jul 2013)

Loved that the campsite was small and friendly; great on-site couriers;
Sharon from Edinburgh (13 Jul 2013)

Luxenbourg very pretty and scenic, very relaxing.
Russell from Colchester (07 Jul 2013)

Unfair to comment much as only an over night stop
Mike from Scarborough (27 Jun 2013)

Only here for overnight
Suzanne from Frinton On Sea (21 Jun 2013)

Great location for getting out and about, pool a bit boring as well as the bar and not much else to do while in the parc.
Confirmed Holidaymaker from London Uk (06 Jun 2013)

A lovely parc with great facilities, set in beautiful surroundings. An ideal base to explore luxembourg and the surrounding countries.
Helen from Barnsley (30 May 2013)

Overall experience - great holiday and great park.
Sarah from Huddersfield (30 May 2013)

Enjoyed our holiday
Wilma from Shotts (26 May 2013)

This was our first experience of a eurocamp site. not disappointed at all. everything met our expectations. good site in a lovely part of luxembourg. would definitely return and would recommend.
Sara-Jane from Cambridge (25 May 2013)

Had a great holiday and would definitely stay again.
Gwendylyn (24 May 2013)

Busy site - local holidays.
Jean from Arnside (21 May 2013)

The luxembourg birkelt parc is now the very worst of the group, with some very dated accomodation and extremely poor courier care. I would score as 1 for accomodation, 1 for courier and 1 for value for money. Germany herbolzheim I would score as 10 for each, hence the "overall" being lower than expected. Germay was on a par with manor farm (interlaken)
Rodney from Spalding, Lincolnshire (18 May 2013)

Accommodation - pretty old,tired and uncomfortable .
Steve from Disley (03 May 2013)

2 separate night halts only
Annette from Newport (28 April 2013)

Good location for walking and biking. Short visit but would definitely come back.
Julia from Burnley (13 April 2013)

La birkelt is a lovely site, beautifully kept, clean and tidy. the site mirrors luxembourg as a whole. a beautiful picturesque country, but with very friendly people and a great deal to see and do.
Craig from Northampton (13 April 2013)

Lovely parc in a lovely setting. The only downside was the cold, wet weather. Plenty of space around the area, great for kids to let off steam.
Georgina from Colchester (10 April 2013)

This is a great parc for kids and adults. The weather let us down a bit this year but we didn't let it spoil our fun. On parc we all enjoyed the swimming pool and the kids especially enjoyed the trampolines. Our meal at the restaurant was excellent and the atmosphere on the parc itself was always very relaxed. There's always lots to do around larochette with great attractions like parc le'h adventures, bettembourg zooparc and the saarbourg cable cars and schlitten all within 45 minutes drive. Going into luxembourg though we always caught the train from mersch - much easier. All round a great little parc with lots to do.
William from Carlisle (09 April 2013)

Very nice area but takes 5 hours from calais park very nice and couriers very good will come again next year but will stop for a night on route.also luxembourg very exspensive be warned!
Somchit from Leyland (09 April 2013)

Great site for families and lot locally to do
Richard (08 April 2013)
