This park is in a lovely setting with plenty to see and do in the area. The pool, restaurant and toilet facilities are excellent but the pitches have very difficult access, steep uneven steps and low rickety handrails or no handrail in many places. Not s site for the elderly or people with very small children. We didn't dare attempt a trip to the toilets at night. Courier helpful, shop not very good but we were there end of season. Pity about the access which could easily be rectified. We really enjoyed ourselves anyway.
Philippa from Eastbourne (12 September 2015)

Site shop is very expensive and lacks necessities. parc is at the top of a mountain advise customers to hire a car or drive.
Laura (31 August 2015)

Typically tuscan surroundings, set on a hilltop with fantastic views, particularly from the pool area. The animation team are very enthusiastic and genuinely seem to like children.
Kevin from Nottingham (28 August 2015)

We had a lovely time at this site. It was just how we imagined tuscany to be.
Rachel from Reading (19 August 2015)

Greate holiday on well organised campsite. Good size pitch with shade and parking close to pitch.pitch was a bit dusty; it would have been helpful if eurocamp had supplied external ground sheet. Easy access to florence (drove from campsite and parked in co-op near scandicci and used tram). also enjoyed visiting pisa and san gimignano.
Nigel from Billericay (12 August 2015)

We were using this as a one night stopover as part of a longer holiday and wished we could have stayed longer. The view from the pool was amazing, the restaurant was very good and the reps were brilliant.
Alison from Ipswich (23 July 2015)

I lovely parc in a very beautiful part of italy. Excellent for visiting florence or pisa. Take the car part of the way then go into the city by train.
Paul from Great Yarmouth (29 June 2015)

It was so close to perfect that I really can't think of any negatives--just wonderful!
Stuart from Sheffield (26 June 2015)

Excellent holiday on a wonderful site, in a beautiful location
Elspeth from Stafford (25 June 2015)

Super time . nick & caroline were fantastic couriers and very helpful and knowledgeable about the site and gave us good advice on restaurants and places to visit during our stay .
Hannah'S (24 June 2015)

Excellent restaurant on site. Good coach trip to florence.
Mike from Spalding (23 June 2015)

Lovely setting and good base to visit tuscany
Kathryn from Nottingham (21 June 2015)

Although the chalet was the same one we have holidayed in some years ago it had been upgraded (the shower - thank you) and it's general condition considering it's age was excellent. we enjoyed this holiday helped by the standard, facilities and comfort (the mattress was an improvement) of our accommodation.
James from Garelochhead, Argyll &Amp; Bute (13 June 2015)

Trips arranged every day at very reasonable prices. couriers extremely helpful and friendly. weather good. plenty to do.
Thelma from Stratford Upon Avon (02 June 2015)

Late in season so site not at it's best; couriers martin and maureen are 'reale' stars -our gratitude to them. Had weather been really bad (rain-wise) then access to tents from below would have been hazardous.
David from Bromsgrove (18 September 2014)

Left paradise at valle romantica which was 10 out of 10 in lake maggiore for this site and unfortunately was in a much lower league. Cold trickle showers, scruffy grounds, amazing views but only seen from the pool which was then closed early. Stuck on top of a hill nothing within walking distance unless very fit. Disappointing but it had a lot to live up to, cannobio we are looking forward to seeing you next year.
Alison (30 August 2014)

This was our second visit to barco reale and we loved it just as much as the first time. lovely location up in the hills, with stunning views from the pools. this is the most civilised campsite we’ve been to – more like a club med than a campsite! . . quiet pitches away from the pool areas. lots for children to do – activities are organised by bright european university students - but generally a campsite for families looking for a relaxing break in beautiful surroundings rather than all-out fun. campsite restaurant is excellent – we didn’t cook in once and often had breakfast in the café too! . . bring a jumper for the evenings as being up in the hills it can get cool, even in august – during the day, there is usually a nice breeze in contrast to the oppressive heat in the cities.
Henrietta (30 August 2014)

This was an excellent holiday- the campsite is just perfect for young children and up to early teens. It is big enough to provide entertainment, allowing to give the children a little freedom without being too big. All the members of staff were very friendly esp. Veronica on the information point. She was v helpful and knowledgeable. Views are stunning and the pools lovely- slightly object to paying for sunbeds but there is plenty of grass to lay your towels. The couirers were very helpful and friendly and the mobile home was immaculate.
Kath from Sussex (30 August 2014)

Fantastic holiday at barco reale. It was a leap of faith for us having always holidayed in france but well worth it. In the tuscan hills in easy reach of pisa, florence, vinci, lucca, and loads of other places to visit.
Olly from Stansted Essex (27 August 2014)

A nice park quiet and chilled,great pool..location,caravans a little tired .
Victoria (24 August 2014)

Overall a very nice stay , albeit only a couple of days.
Stephen from Doncaster (23 August 2014)

A really good holiday. If you have a car, barco is a good base to visit florence, sienna and pisa (and vinci). the smallish supermarket is a 10 minute drive down the mountain (much cheaper than the camp market). it was my wife's birthday while we were there and the camp restaurant staff surprised her with a cake and singing 'happy birthday'. nice friendly staff and maureen and martin were great eurocamp couriers.
David from Weymouth (19 August 2014)

Best campsite yet! clean, beautiful views and enough to entertain the whole family (11,13 & 15year olds). great restaurant too. We also took advantage of the many trips offered from the campsite and took the bus to florence. Would definitely come back here.
Jane from Salisbury (19 August 2014)

An excellent site. Really good environment, space and facilities. The eurocamp caravans were a little old and cramped, but the veranda was spacious. Lovely pool and restaurant.
Stephen from Sutton Coldfield (12 August 2014)

Wonderful remote location for rest and relaxation. access was challenging - the drive up the hill as well as round the camp, but worth it for the views.
Shelley (26 July 2014)

We travelled to barco reale without a car. This was unfortunately more limiting then we expected as the local bus didn't link to the train times at pistoia. Also very few britons on the site - a german couple described it to us as a netherlands' colony!
Jim from Plymouth (17 July 2014)

An excellent holiday all round
Customer 27 from Sutton Coldfield (13 July 2014)

We had a fabulous time at barco reale. this was our first euro camp experience and we will definitely be back. the park was great, the pools with a view were super and our girls loved them. everything felt very safe and clean. I would recommend walking down to san baronto and visiting victoria's for dinner. the park restaurant is nice but you will get a more authentic and tasty experience at this restaurant.
Clare from Craigavon (05 July 2014)

This was our second visit to barco reale, the first one was brilliant, and this one even better! our kids, aged 4 and 6 had a superb time: the swimming pools are beautiful, the 'animator' team are not too full on but genuinely great fun, and francesca and her horses at the riding school were a big hit. The park isn't too big, so the kids can enjoy a bit of independence without us having to worry too much.
Helen (03 July 2014)

Enjoyed our holiday immensely.
Brian from Rochester,Kent (29 June 2014)

Lovely parc have stayed many times before. Great setting but having to park some way from pitch was difficult with loading and loading car. Slight gripe with putting a quiet couple next to a family with 3 very noisy unruly children.
Wendy from Hampshire (28 June 2014)

Lovely 6 days at barco reale, we wanted to stay a few more days but were leaving for pisa. Good atmosphere due to fairly small size, eurocamp courriers terry and jen were brilliant.
Thomas (21 June 2014)

Overall, nice camp, great location, great restaurant.
Tom from Chesterfield (21 June 2014)

We had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday which lived up to expectations (based on well over 20 years of euro-camping)
Roland from Uxbridge (20 June 2014)

Had a fantastic holiday, the park was really good and the couriers were fantastic, only the poor access to our pitch, and those around us stopped this being a 10/10 score.
James from South Molton (14 June 2014)

We had a great holiday at barco reale and would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a quiet, well-run site with friendly staff and access to plenty of sightseeing opportunities. The toilet/shower blocks were well-kept, the on-site restaurant was really good, the tent was clean and tidy and the couriers were helpful and friendly. We didn't want to leave!
Confirmed Holidaymaker from Stockport (07 June 2014)

This is a really lovely campsite. It sis well looked after and really peaceful. There are fantastic views of the stunning countryside.
Jill from Preston (03 June 2014)

Lovely camp in a beautiful location
Sally from The Cotswolds (03 June 2014)

Very nice location, the parc needs to improve on some of its facilities i.e., shop, entertainment and wifi connection was very poor. Overall good value for money if your looking for beautiful scenery, relaxation and basic facilities.
David from Gainsborough / Lincolnshire (24 May 2014)

It's the first time we have used eurocamp and we were really pleased by the whole thing. Will definately be using them again!
Karen from Lyon (09 May 2014)

Fabulous holiday! couldn't wish for any better, your couriers are fantastic, amazing place and facilities. Our 3 year old was in tears leaving!
Samantha from Tunbridge Wells (24 September 2013)

The eurocamp couriers were brilliant, really nice helpful couple. Nice place , nice holiday, toilet facilities very clean. Had a good time.
Michel (07 September 2013)

A lovely, quiet campsite although the locals with their late night , very loud, singing duo on two of our nights was less than relaxing.
Roger from Rugby (30 August 2013)

Lovely site in a stunning location. Very well-run park with helpful and friendly on-site staff. Surprised that nearly all holidaymakers were dutch though - small handful of brits, but children still made friends. Low-key early evening entertainment mainly for under 10s and site lovely and quiet at night. On-site bar and restaurant was very good, particularly for pizza and pasta and open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Superb ice-creams from onsite gelateria. Not the place to come for a wild time but really well-situated for visiting tuscan towns and cities or just lying by the pool and taking in the amazing views. Eurocamp couriers by far and away the best we'd ever come across - couldn't do enough to help - wish they were all like that!
Henrietta (30 August 2013)

Loved the site and we were lucky to get one of the best pitches. the only downside to the site was the on-site evening activities (disco etc) which were quite loud - the sound carried across the whole site. but this was a minor complaint - everything else was lovely.
Nicola from Croxley (26 August 2013)

Nice parc, had a great holiday.
Lorraine from Sutton Coldfield (23 August 2013)

Great campsite location, lovely food. a peaceful family campsite in a natural setting. not too busy.
Claire (19 August 2013)

Barco reale was exactly what I needed after a hard years work. The overall experience was excellent. The views were incredible which all added to a very relaxing time inter dispersed with visits to memorable sites of culture. Thoroughly enjoyable
Keith from Bristol (18 August 2013)

Beautiful tuscany, weather fab, busy site, but peaceful as well. Wonderful
Ruth from Newcastle (17 August 2013)

We had a lovely time just relaxing; only thing we missed was the sea.
Jenni from Bletchley, Milton Keynes (11 August 2013)

The camp site was amazing, fantastic views and excellent facilities. The lady on the information desk provided by the campsite was extremely helpful and the variety of activities on offer was great.
Susan from Fernhurst (02 August 2013)

One of the best campsites we've stayed at so far!
Nina from Isle Of Man (18 Jul 2013)

Great holiday and our couriers jennieleigh and terry were brilliant. thank you.
Daniela from Dunfermline (14 Jul 2013)

Superbly positioned park - if you like hills and the view from them. we loved it. fantastic campsite restaurant, great pool, superb gelato. campsite announcements on a tannoy were a bit bizarre - we couldn't hear them properly even when in english. and, be warned, if you are in a mobile home you will get some noise from the road and even the local builders. but they may have finished by the time you get here - and, honestly, we loved it anyway.
Peter from Chester (12 Jul 2013)

Nice and peaceful. More possibilities of swimming for adults. More onservation of rules about the swimming pool. One days there was a man who made people observe the rules but many days the 3-year old children were jumping in and out of the pool all days so that we - the adults could not swim. There were two other children's pools so the children should have been there most of the time giving our children (20 and 22) the possibility of swimming more than just 1 metre.
Helle from Aarhus (07 Jul 2013)

Beautiful views of the tuscan countryside. very steeply terraced site, which can be tricky in places. pitches small but well divided with shrubs.
Christine from Monteal (29 Jun 2013)

We had a great holiday at barco reale - it was our second time at this camp site where we also stayed 2 years ago. Beautiful scenery, great weather, lots to get involved in if you want to with guided walks, wine tasting and excursions arranged on-site. The restaurant is brilliant too, both on standard of customer service and quality of the great, freshly cooked tuscan food.
Mark from West Midlands (29 Jun 2013)

A nice site, large and private pitches, good couriers. Unfortunately weather was disappointing.
Mailyn from Nottingham (28 Jun 2013)

Great views and lovely, helpful staff
Peter from Houghton (26 Jun 2013)

Lovely site, positioned high up in the hills and close to san baronto. Really peaceful with three lovely pools and a brilliant restaurant. It is within easy reach of florence and other small towns as well things for children such as pistoia zoo. A furnicular ride to the town of montegatini alto (from the nearby montegatini terme) was worth the visit.
Debbie from Peterborough (20 Jun 2013)

Barco reale is a fantastic campsite set in beautiful surroundings with fantastic views. It was great for children with the playground and pool. Also the trail around the park was lovely to walk round and the children enjoyed the exercise stops. The tent and caravan accommodation were excellent.
Paul from High Peak, Uk (17 Jun 2013)

Fantastic location/views - easy to visit all parts of tuscany - spectacular hill climbs.
Robert from Warminster (12 Jun 2013)

We had a fantastic time was able to relax in a lovely environment despite some bad weather. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was above our expectations both in cleansiness and size.
Alison from Crowborough (11 Jun 2013)

Scenic park, with beautiful views set in the stunning tuscan countryside. Easy access to tuscan cities for day trips and there is lots to do and see in the area. Visiting in may meant we had unpredictable weather and it was really too cold for a tent. Glad the couriers gave us extra blankets.
Claire from Yattendon (01 Jun 2013)

Wow, this site is in competition with ill collachio for the best views! brilliant site, lovely area, close to the tuscany musts, pisa, florence, etc. We were on downtime, relax mood here so did not travel very far and we have been to this area (but not this parc) several times before.
Jean from Broughton (31 May 2013)

The site was lovely the people very friendly. Paul in the resturant was the star of the place and the couriers jennie and terry couldn't do enough for you they even walked our dogs for us so we could go to pisa, not many people would do that for you. The food was really nice but a little pricey but saying that it was really good food.out of the 6 places we stayed at this time this is one of the ones we would go back to.
Customer 66 from Essex (30 May 2013)

Friendly, welcoming couriers. Nothing too much trouble. Clean well equipped accommodation.
Rebecca from Taunton (29 May 2013)

Great site but you need to be fit. Its hard walking for older people. Great couriers, first timers but didnt show it.
Roland from Wrenbury Cheshire (28 May 2013)

Excellent holiday although weather was not good. The reps at this site are absolutely fabulous. Very helpful
Allan from Bournemouth (26 May 2013)

Great couriers, excellent accommodation and situation, difficult access to parc, first class swimming facilities and information desk.
Diane from Edinburgh (26 May 2013)

Wonderful holiday. The park was beautiful. the couriers were lovely, warm and welcoming. They couldn't do enough to help and gave better customer service than a 5 star hotel. They are a real credit to eurocamp.
Mary from Windsor (26 May 2013)

The staff were very helpful and the site was clean and a perfect stop for flying visits to florence and pisa. Look forward to returning and hopefully the sun will shine next time!
Louise from Worthing (18 May 2013)

Very much connected with the rural surroundings great
Phillip from East Grinstead (05 May 2013)
