The cottage is really fabulous, it's modern, clean, plenty of room with three bathrooms and two lounges. It's easy to keep clean and very quiet, but easy to get to many local attractions. The only down side we found was that having a larger car made reaching the cottage down a small lane a little nerve racking as the locals are quite reckless! (& we drive in london every day!) and that the parking is really only convenient for 1 car although 2 small ones could fit with a lot of manouevering. The owners were very kind recommending areas of interest and we loved being able to relax in such a lovely home at the end of each day's exploring. Keith from Dartford (10 June 2017)
We had such amazing stay in this beautiful house. Great location with such a relaxing space. Up yonder is a fantastic place to stay and explore the surrounding countryside. The cottage is modern and very well equipped. My son loved the second sitting room allowing him to play his playstation in peace. Highly recommended. We will be back! Scott (15 April 2017)
Quiet comfortable break. Good walks and fresh air. No complaints thoroughly recommended. Gordon from Noerdlingen, Germany (22 October 2016)
A lovely house that had all the mod cons. The host, elizabeth and gordon were very nice and extremely helpful. we had a good week and the weather was kind to us. The only down side was that the wifi is nearly non existent. David from Swinton, South Yorkshire (15 October 2016)
We had a lovely time very relaxing and totally de-stressed the house spotless and wanted for nothing all we had to take was food and drink, will definitely be visiting again Ken from Merseyside (08 October 2016)
Lovely location, nicely furnished property but only one en suite. . sloping ceilings problem for our taller guests, if doors were hung the other way that problem would have been less. . no recycling facilities available therefore we had to take it home with us. Linda from Shropshire (03 September 2016)
A little piece of heaven!. superb accommodation, will definitely be returning. Sharon from Skelmersdale (30 July 2016)

Absolutely brilliant holiday accommodation. Highly recommended, if you want to relax in a pleasant and peaceful location. . every possible item you need at home was on hand. Surprised what was provided. We spent the most pleasant week we have ever experienced at up yonder .. going back over the last 40 years. . we will try and visit again. Rating 5 stars is understating it the quality and service we received from gordan & elizabeth. Tony from Doncaster (14 May 2016)

We all had a great holiday in this very well equipped cottage. It was a really spacious holiday home and in a good base to explore from. It was very clean and really did have everything that you could need. We all loved the upstairs lounge, as we felt it was very cosy. We are hoping to visit the area again and would have no hesitation in staying at "up yonder" again. Joanne from Co Durham (31 October 2015)

Great place for a family holiday with loads of space to spread out into - though we spent most time playing cards at the kitchen table! plenty of countryside to explore and enough things to do. this was our 4th visit. Andy from Cradley, Malvern (11 April 2015)
Absolutely fabulous. The photographs don't do the property justice.the house is bright and airy with amazing views. It has been finished to a high standard and all we needed was there. The solid oak floors made it very pet friendly.its proximity to the a75 made touring the area very easy. We would definitely stay in this property again by far the best we have ever stayed in. A house you would be proud to own. Robert from Northumberland (15 November 2014)

Great home for a vacation, everything we could have needed or wanted. I can't speak highly enough about it. It was very central for all we wanted to see. It was nice to all have our own bathrooms, and two living rooms in case anyone wanted to watch tv when others didn't. We loved it, thank you! Gillian from San Diego, California (21 June 2014)
Lovely cottage the best we have been in the only negative was no enclosed garden Gerry from Aberdeen (14 June 2014)
Up yonder has been the best cottage/location that we have yet stayed in.modern & spacious, well equipped in a great location for visiting this area of scotland. Friendly owners whom met us on arrival.location is perfect as not too remote as close to the village of glenluce but situated on a quiet lane.great view of the coast from the upstairs lounge.would definitely visit again. Paul from Cardiff (17 May 2014)

If you want a peaceful relaxing holiday tthen this is the place to go. ideal base for coastal walks and spectacular views. the cottage is huge but very warm and welcoming, with friendly locals passing by every few hours. off the beaten track but not isolated, the village 5 mins wals has everything that you need. we have already booked to revisit in 2014. Sarah from Doncaster (12 October 2013)
After a very long journey we arrived earlier than expected but received a warm welcome by gordon and elizabeth. the house is very spacious, comfortable, clean and with everything that you'll need. The upstairs tv room with its fabulous views was appreciated by our 3 kids (two of whom are teenage). the house is a great base to tour the coast and galloway national park.the kids loved their time in scotland. Having superb accommodation was the icing on the cake. As good weather is not always forthcoming having somewhere nice to retreat to was a bonus. our only regret was not taking the dog as she would have loved it too! Sarah from Gloucester (17 August 2013)
It really suited our party well as we had a dog and children with us. the space within the house is excellent. Anne from Glasgow (13 Jul 2013)
