Very nice accommodation

Lovely cottage, it is small but openly states that in the description. It is well equipped and brilliant location. Thankful for the reserved parking spaces in courtyard as on road parking was taken up most days. Garden easily seen from the road, which is very close. Clean, tidy and relaxing.

Cobwebs everywhere
Lounge mat is filthy
Oven needs a good clean
Maybe change sheets for fitted ones as everyday I had to put it back on
Garden is in need of a jet wash and a really good tidy up
Tap in kitchen drips continually
Uncomfortable beds smell of damp in small bedroom
Tv kept going off
Wi-Fi should be available in these times
A no parking sign on the gate would be useful as we struggled to get out due to a car being parked right across the gate
Ants in kitchen on a number of occasions
All mugs need a good bleaching as they are awfully stained

I unlocked the door of this property at 4.30 only to be overwhelmed by the fusty smell of mould which we could not get rid of. In addition for three days we could not get out through the gate, as someone parked directly up against it. Therefore the bin men did not empty the bins, as they could not get access.
The double bedroom smelt dreadful and the mattress springs were so lumpy I still have a bad back.
We had to buy scented candles and open all of the windows, there was visible mould in the bathroom, opening the kitchen cupboards revealed the foul smell of mould. We went home a day early as we just wanted to get home to some comfort and fresh air.
I'm not sure what the cleaning company was doing between 9am and 4.30 pm ? Or the gardener who works every Tuesday ? The patio small as it is was covered in green moss. It was quite apparent he had not visited for some time.
I won't be using this company again. Thankfully the weather and location were great which meant we spent as little time as possible in the Old Blacksmiths. We visit this region frequently but will use our usual local agencies in future.
I was just going to put this out of my mind and dwell on the positives, however you are asking would I recommend this property ? The answer is most definitely not !

A relaxing holiday at Blacksmiths in lovely Burnham Market. The Cottage is well kept and cozy close to amenities with lots of character. Recommended. We hope to return soon.
