The cottage was wonderfull!. clean and very 'cottage' like. More room than expected. Even a nice garden. All comforts were there. . we very much enjoyed our stay! wifi was not mentioned, but very good.
Sabine from The Netherlands (11 August 2017)

A comfy and clean cottage with everything we needed for a great holiday with our toddler and pet dog. The garden is great and well kept. The cottage is in a brilliant location with only a five minute walk to the beach, harbour and shops. We' d definitely stay again.
Nicola from Erith (07 July 2017)

Hi everything was fine with the cottage , we had a lovely warm welcome . the cottage was well equipped with every thing. Lovely little garden, our little . dog loved the long walks. Met some neighbours had nice chats about the local area. One draw back was the street parking. close enough for the beach and shops. Hence we didn't move our car for two weeks.
Ann from St Albans (16 June 2017)

Very much central, easy reach of station, bus routes, shops, pubs and restuarants, seashore, heritage sites, cycle/walking paths, etc. . warm welcome from the owners, and helpful advice.
Don from Ashford (27 May 2017)

Lovely little cottage in the ideal location. very close to all the amenities, just a few minutes walk. hope to go back later in the year.
Mr Sullivan from Milton Keynes (28 April 2017)

An everyday victorian terraced house which was very pleasant but nothing special. Garden was great for our dog as good size and safely enclosed. Position excellent for whitstable town and beaches. Only issue was parking - only on street in a very busy area. Once you are parked you are unlikely to want to move your car again!
Susan from Basildon (27 March 2017)

Lovely cottage in a quiet residential road - it had everything we needed, really enjoyed our stay here, would recommend.
Allison from Herts (28 October 2016)

We found the bed uncomfortable and glasses and cups not well cleaned. . otherwise it was fine.
Ferny from Ely (12 September 2016)

Lovely house and garden, thoughtful owner who provided everything required for a comfortable stay. Lots to do in and around the area.
Confirmed Guest (02 September 2016)

We had an excellent time staying at seagull cottage. Whitstable is a fantastic place both for children and very doggy friendly.
Kelly from Beckenham (29 August 2016)

Seagull cottage is only a couple of streets away from all the unique shops, restaurants and working harbour that whitstable has to offer. We found it clean, comfortable, well equipped and the garden was fully enclosed making it ideal for the children and dog to play once we returned from the beach. The owner has clearly thought of lots of little touches to ensure seagull cottage is a home from home. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
Catherine from Nottingham (29 July 2016)

Lovely dog friendly cottage but parking was a nightmare!
Amelia from Derby (22 July 2016)

A comfortable and cosy cottage in an excellent location. Very clean and well equipped with a lovely little garden.
Confirmed Guest (15 July 2016)

Lovely garden, well equipped house, quiet and good convenient location, parking could be tricky.
Steve from Watford, Hertfordshire (24 June 2016)

Very enjoyable holiday. The only reason for not staying again, is so as to explore other areas.
Yvonne from Suffolk (20 May 2016)

Great weekend break for myself, daughter and olive, the cockerpoo.
Jan from Chislehurst (02 May 2016)

The cottage was warm and comfortable. the owner was very helpful and friendly when we arrived. the only downside was the parking as it was on street and too many cars for the spaces. we would stay there again.
Agnes from Bath (19 February 2016)

Really enjoyed our break, the cottage had everything you needed and it was warm and cosy, near to all the shops
Confirmed Guest (22 January 2016)

Great cottage, little touches were lovely. Quite steep stairs for my aunt but for the rest of us it was fine! lovely garden and decor. Comfy, clean and nice location, good communication. Stay there!
Nicola from Bishops Stortford (16 November 2015)

We had a lovely stay at seagull cottage. The location was excellent and the cottage was really good value for money.
Claire from Horsham (07 November 2015)

Great location and lovely welcoming cottage. everything was exactly as we'd expected and hoped. having the crab and winkle way 30 yards from the door made getting to and from the train station quick and simple, and it was just the right distance from the high street and beach: not so close as to be noisy, but convenient enough to walk to the centre of everything in no more than 10 minutes.
Hev from Hemel Hempstead (09 October 2015)

Loved the cottage, it had a enclosed garden which was great for our dog and was a great place to retire to after a day of exploring, also a two minute walk away there is a park where you can walk your dog. whitstable was only a 5 minute walk away and is a lovely quirky and friendly seaside town ,nearly all the pubs are dog friendly which was great for a beer, food and music. We really liked the duke of cumberland as the staff were extremely friendly, the music on sunday was the noel mccalla quartet which was fabulous, the pub dog is a real character. I would recommend the cottage and whitstable if you wish a to have a holiday with your dog.
Jeanette from Milton Keynes (02 October 2015)

Well situated in walking distance for the historic harbour, good restaurants and shops. Parking immediately outside or in the same street a problem at the weekend but fine during the weekdays. No tumbledrier or clothes horse so difficult to dry washing in wet weather. . nice to find wine, milk. Biscuits, coffee and tea on arrival. . bed linen clean and crisp.
Peter (25 September 2015)

Lovely cottage, very comfortable and homely. Great garden and ideal location within easy walking distance of the town and harbour. The owner, mike, was extremely helpful.
Lynne from Stockport (11 September 2015)

It is a beautifully decorated house, with everything you need, including a cafetiere! owner was there on check in, very friendly and showed us to wine and biscuits (thank you!!!). . kids loved it, short walk to town, internet has brilliant service and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone looking to stay here.
Helen from London (07 August 2015)

Great location with a lovely sunny garden. Spotless and equipped with everything we needed.
Wendy from Gravesend (05 June 2015)

Excellent holiday stay. Very well equipped. Lovely little garden. Very comfy beds (you need sunglasses for the second bedroom bed linen but beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Very convenient for shops and harbour. Parking can be a bit tricky but was never an insurmountable problem. Very friendly and relaxed owner. Great heating system in case the british summer strikes. A well executed period feel to the place. Overall; wouldn't hesitate to stay there again if in area.
David from Ipswich (15 May 2015)

Seagull cottage was the perfect size for us (mum, dad, 14,10 & 8yr olds & dog) with shops, cafes, restaurants, beach, park and railway station all within a short walk it's in a great position. . this was our first visit to whitstable and we really liked it. It has a friendly small town feel to it, with several recognisable outlets but not too many. Most of the shops are independents with traditional sign-written fascias selling bits and pieces you wouldn't find in standard high streets. Several of the cafes were dog-friendly (howard's kitchen especially nice) and the garden of seagull cottage was a big hit with our scruffy pooch. Lots of enclosed grass to chase the ball in and a quiet and sheltered place for us to relax in too. The cottage was very cosy when the spring sunshine gave way to the chilly evening and fleece blankets were provided to snuggle under on the sofas. With little extras left for us such as, wine, milk, dishwasher tablets, loo roll to last the whole week, kitchen roll and deckchairs in the shed we really felt at home....all holiday cottages should be like this. Thanks mick.
Sarah from South Of England (17 April 2015)

We had a lovely stay at seagull cottage. The house was clean, safe & as described. It's only a short walk to whitstable high street.
Kevin from St Leonards-On-Sea (03 April 2015)

The owner was very helpful. Great location.
Angela from Birmingham (13 March 2015)

A great base for a break in the area, being within easy walking distance of the main attractions of whitstable. Seagull cottage is both spacious and comfortable and provided a cosy winter's retreat. We would love to return in the summer months to enjoy the garden facilities.
Alison from Rugby (02 March 2015)

Lovely bright and clean cottage. Great garden. we stayed monday to friday and most of time found a parking space near cottage. only issue was the parking. had to reverse twice all the way back down the road to the scout hut when we were trying to park the car as the vehicles we faced could not reverse to a parking space twenty feet behind them to let us by! the cottage though was perferct for us and would like to say thank you for the wine and cakes:). very helpful with supplying stair gate for our little one too.
Paula from Capel (21 February 2015)

Nice little cottage, suited our purposes perfectly. Nothing fancy, but comfortable and clean. Kitchen equipment was adequate - if you want to bake or do any cooking beyond the ordinary, you would have to bring your own equipment. And I thought the bed linen could have been a bit nicer ( and we didn't like the thin foam pillows, but that is personal preference perhaps). nice garden, though sadly we were there in february so didn't use it! lots of drawer and cupboard space in the bedrooms. 10 minute walk to the beach. Close to the nice end of town so easy for shops and restaurants. all in all, we would be most happy to return to seagull cottage again
Julie from London (13 February 2015)

The cottage had a lovely seaside feel and very important to us it was clean. Mick the owner was very helpful he obtained cycling details for us and sent them to me before our holiday , he left us wine , cakes, tea coffee and milk. The cottage is perfectly situated for beach ,shops and train. Hope to go again. Thanks mick.
Linda from Loughborough (10 November 2014)

Enjoyed our stay, had everything we needed. Owner very nice and considerate. Just one suggestion a grab rail by the bath may assist the elderly or the young when getting in and out. .
Eve from London (03 October 2014)

Comfortable accommodation and friendly helpful owner. a better equipped kitchen with good quality utensils would be a great improvement for holiday makers who want to cook.
Dinah from Liverpool (12 September 2014)

Just had a lovely week at seagull cottage. Good location for local shops restaurants pubs. Nearby recreation ground ideal for sam dog to run and make lots of doggy friends. Very comfortable cottage, however be careful the first time you use the shower though you may give the bathroom floor a good wash but you only of it once. Parking difficult be aware you may not always park on acton road. Overall great little place to stay for a holiday we had a very relaxing time that passed far to quickly. whitstable is a lovely place to visit good feel to the place everybody we met was friendly and welcoming.
Lisa from Swinton (05 September 2014)

Great week, lovely cottage.
Jon from Colchester (22 August 2014)

We have stayed here more than once. We love the cottage and we love whitstable. Seagull cottage has a beautiful garden, is well looked after, tastefully decorated, lovely helpful owner.. very impressed.
Ellie from Bedford (08 August 2014)

Beautiful cottage, fantastic location. 5-10 minute walk into town/harbour. whitstable is a charming place to stay. I can not fault my stay here. would definitely recommend staying a seagull cottage. would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Jennifer from Liverpool (01 August 2014)

The house was everything we expected - a good location for the town centre and easy to get to from the main road. Rooms were light and airy and bathroom spacious (good for dealing with small children!) and the garden was very child friendly. Our only problem was weekend parking - the rest of the time it was ok but there was not a space to be had from friday night to sunday.
Graeme from Nottingham (25 July 2014)

Location was perfect for exploring the beautiful little town with its fantastic range of independent shops. The cottage is just a 5 minute walk from the main high street and the beach - just right!! the cycle path runs just next to the cottage too, and the recreation ground for dog walking and station are a few minutes away. . the cottage is very well equipped with everything you need : towels, tea towels, bedding, and the beds are really comfortable. . the cottage has a pretty little garden, enclosed and safe for dogs - a great little sun trap. We will definitely be back.
Judy from Goodsell (30 June 2014)

Fantatic house with great location
Confirmed Purchaser (27 June 2014)

We stayed at seagull cottage for a weekend away with our dog. good house, comfortable and well equipped, great location close to the high street and beach. lovely sunny garden. We would definitely stay again, but I may take earplugs as the seagulls are loud!
Karen from Sevenoaks (23 June 2014)

The cottage was lovely and mr lee a very thoughtful owner, the bottle of wine was a lovely touch.we had an elderly person in our party and even though it said steep stairs in brochure we did not realize how steep until we arrived.it was also difficult for her to get into the bath.these would be the only reasons that would prevent us from staying again.it would be lovely to have a shower cubicle instead of a bath.
Teresa from Wroughton (13 June 2014)

Nice little terrace, parking very difficult needed to be back by 5 to be able to park car near the house. This spoils the day some what. Lovely garden, location good, just a brief walk to the town. Kitchen well appointed. Very steep stairs, however we asked for a child gate to stop the dogs going on the stairs. Left a note to request curtains at the bedroom windows as the very cheap plastic blinds let the early morning sun in and we lost a lot of sleep. The bedding has seen better days and could do with replacing, it was clean. . mike the owner made us very welcome and left a bottle of wine for us. Plenty of information about the surrounding area and where we could or could not take the dogs.
Sara from Andover (06 June 2014)

Lovely spacious cottage everything was in there that you would need for a self catering holiday.the bed was very comfortable and it was a king size which was very nice.the garden was very secure so we could let our dog out without having to watch her all the time.i would say the only thing that was a problem at the weekend was the parking situation but that's all.if I were to come to kent again I would stay there again.
Wendy from West Midlands (30 May 2014)

Clean, comfortable and a warm welcome from the owner- all helped to make this the ideal family break. Would definitely like to return.
Pat from Welwyn Garden City (02 May 2014)

We loved this cottage and it's great location. It was spotless we will be back
Thandi from London (14 April 2014)

Absolutely wonderful cottage right near the sea front and shops, really comfortable and we will definitely re book the cottage!.
Mark from Dorking (18 March 2014)

Nice house in a good location. Well equipped with plenty of home comforts. Welcome pack was lovely. Mick the owner was very friendly and a small problem was dealt with extremely well.
Marilyn from Cardiff (14 March 2014)

Despite the weather, the holiday was enjoyable. The cottage was very warm and comfortable. The owner was very helpful.
Val from Gosport (08 November 2013)

Lovely house. Very well equipped and clean. Lots of helpful touches like information file, takeaway menus etc. Very helpful landlord. Nice garden. Great for walking into town and to the harbour and sea front, just a few minutes away. Four of us and the dog enjoyed every minute. On street parking outside the house can be a bit tricky but this is the only criticism.
Yvonne from Boston (18 October 2013)

Very comfortable and conveniently situated cottage with pleasant garden.
Linda from Welwyn Garden City (11 October 2013)

We loved the place - was as clean as you could hope for, on a nice, relatively quiet street. The bottle of wine left for us was a great touch. The garden is ideal for nice weather, and the place was well situated. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
Andrew from Tonbridge (09 September 2013)

It was obvious on arrival at the cottage where we were met by the owner, mr lee, that he takes great pride in seagull cottage. he personally showed us around the property, gave us a welcome package including cakes and a bottle of wine and fresh flowers on the mantelpiece. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and had a lovely well kept garden. it was less than a 10 minute walk to the beach and harbour. Whitstable is a wonderful seaside town with many individual, interesting shops, quirky pubs and some fantastic restaurants.
Sue from Lincoln (19 Jul 2013)

Very good location for shops and the beach. The garden is very nice and private. Large enough for a family of 4 with a small dog.
Raymond from Hannover Germany (12 Jul 2013)

Proximity to high street and all its facilities; well equipped cottage; clean and no dog smell although dogs are allowed (we are not dog lovers); cake and biscuits and vase of daffodils all very welcoming
Patricia from Stockton On Tees (26 April 2013)

Very well equipped with unexpected extras, ie cake and biscuits, tea bags etc. Beautiful sunny garden with nice garden chairs. Wi-fi handy for son. Spacious rooms.

Joan from Ellis (05 October 2012)

Seagull cottage is the best we have ever stayed in! we were welcomed by the very pleasant owner and there were cakes, tea, coffee and milk in the fridge - what more could we ask for after driving 300 miles? the decor is stylish, yet homely and the garden was pretty and secluded. the cottage is within easy walking distance of the shops, sea front and the railway station. we would definitely like to return.
Susan from Hartlepool (07 September 2012)

Lovely homely cottage, close to shops and beach, loved it!!
Customer 70 (June 2012)

Fantastic location, very close to high street with lots of shops, pubs and restaurants, and also very close to beach. really lovely, cosy, clean and comfortable cottage. lovely enclosed garden, great for my dog to run around in safely.
Elaine from London (21 May 2012)

Seagull cottage is absolutely superb. It has all modern appliances and the decor is lovely. The cottage looks smaller on the outside than it actually is and there was plenty of room for 3 adults plus 1 dog (you would easily get 2 couples or one family staying there). The garden at the rear is a great size and totally enclosed so it is dog and child escape proof. The location is very convenient to the main high street (a max of 10 minute walk but we were doing it in 5 mins) and being away from the town it is very quiet. All of the appliances seem very new and just added to the overall experience. Whitstable itself is a lovely town with lots of shops. We contacted Mick the owner prior to our holiday to get the arrangements for the key collection and he contacted us again just before we left to make sure that everything was ok. There was a bottle of red wine waiting for us which a welcome sight when we arrived. Mick contacted us on our return home to say thanks for using his cottage and for leaving it in a nice state - just a nice little touch at the end and one that we have never experienced before. We all felt that it is the best cottage we have stayed in for a holiday. I would highly recommend.
Customer 72 (May 2012)

Garden, parking, comfort, decor, facilities, location
Karen from Seaford (16 April 2012)

Seagull Cottage was an excellent choice. Four of us stayed and found it clean, peaceful, cosy. Easy to park and a great location. Big bathroom and super amenities. Big garden. Would stay again.
Customer 74 (April 2012)

Comfortable, light and modern cottage with a gorgeous garden. Walking distance to all restaurants, pubs and the beach. Easy street parking - no complaints whats over. Highly recommended.
Customer 75 (April 2012)

Excellent accommodation. Property was comfortable and had all that was required. Parking was an experience, especially on the Saturday of arrival but one learns from experience. An area for easy walking, especially to Herne Bay and beyond. The Ship in Herne Bay is good for food as is Birdie in Whistable. A must is a visit to Canterbury. Mick the owner is an extremely helpful individual.
Customer 76 (March 2012)

Owner was very helpful before visit and checked we were ok once we were there cottage was very comfortable and well equipped and we and our dog Ruby really enjoyed our stay - even though it was late Feb the weather was lovely!
Customer 77 (February 2012)

Having just spent a very relaxing week in Seagull Cottage, I can’t recommend it highly enough as somewhere to stay. This is the 3rd cottage holiday I’ve been on and by far the best. It was absolutely immaculate, with lots of thoughtful attention to detail. There was a lovely welcome package from the owner, who texted a couple of times during the week to make sure everything was well. The garden was ideal for Georgie (my 5 year old black lab) to stretch his legs before bed. And I would imagine in the summer a great place to sit in the evenings with a glass of wine. Location wise - less than 5 minutes away from everything - the high street (fabulous quaint little shops!), the harbour, the beach. We were lucky enough to have great weather for the whole week, bright sunny winter days - absolutely perfect for the hours and hours of walks we both thoroughly enjoyed! Lots of dog friendly pubs were an added bonus. Could have quite happily stayed forever!
Customer 78 (January 2012)

Excellent cottage, perfect holiday. Lacks a shaving point in bathroom.
Customer 79 (January 2012)

Lovely house - large enough for 4 people to stay without being on top of each other. Well equipped and easy to use kitchen. Comfy dinning room and great bath! Would love to come back in the summer and enjoy the garden - well placed for exploring Whitstable and the Kent coast.
Customer 80 (December 2011)

Everything was excellent! Especially the owner who helped us very much, provided us with helpful hints and managed a very special guidance tour in a usually un-accessible area.
Customer 81 (October 2011)

Around 5 minutes from the sea and the shops. Good and clean. Everything you would need.
Customer 82 (September 2011)

Fantastic little cottage right by the sea. Very comfortable with all mod cons, wonderful safe garden for both us and the dog, was lovely to sit out and have drinks on a night. Lots of lovely little restaurants nearby. Lovely.
Customer 83 (August 2011)

Had a wonderful week at Seagull cottage. Extremely well equipped, spacious, and our dog loved the garden!! Would definitely recommend!
Customer 84 (July 2011)

We found the cotage clean, well appointed and there was everything there that we wanted - even some things which we didn’t expect - a pint of milk, coffee, tea, salt, pepper, etc. Even a couple of packets of shortbread biscuits. As the weather was very good a comfy garden chair would have been nice.
Customer 85 (May 2011)

Lovely comfortable cottage with all mod cons, in a great location. Great for the dog as has a lovely safe enclosed garden, and there are also some really nice dog friendly pubs nearby. Close to the beach and the main high street for all the shops. Brilliant! Will definitely be returning.
