Comfortable cottage in good location - we enjoyed our stay.
Customer 1 (01 July 2017)

Wonderful hosts and fantastic peaceful setting setting - great for young children
Yidi from Hendon, London (02 June 2017)

Fantastic welcome. The cottage is lovely. We especially enjoyed the views over romney marsh from the living room. The kids loved the garden, even more so because there were horses at the bottom to say hello to. The area was a great base to explore south kent, camber sands, hythe, rye. We had beautiful walks on the marsh and through hamstreet woods. Beds were very comfortable and shower is great.
Rachel from London (01 May 2017)

We had such a comfortable and relaxing time. The granddaughters missed wifi, but there was so much to do in the vicinity, it didnt really matter. We enjoyed great sunsets while sitting on the patio. The only drawback was that an older person might find the stairs a problem getting to the bathroom at night.
Jocelym from Crawley (20 August 2016)

This is a lovely cottage, the setting is stunning and also very quiet. the nearby town of dymchurch is small but has essentials. hythe however which is approx 3 miles away is just beautiful and has a lovely mix of shops, cafes, pubs, antique shops etc.
Ellie from Manchester (25 June 2016)

Very good converted barn in a great location for getting out and about. An excellent welcome pack on arrival. Private access to your own garden at the rear. Despite officially no wifi, the owner will allow you to use theirs by giving you the login code. Great eating places in nearby botolphs bridge and hythe .
Diane from Leeds (11 June 2016)

A lovely holiday cottage, well equipped - suited our needs well. (we had 2 small children in our party) very kind and helpful owners, always ready to help if problems arose. just a shame we couldn't book the weather we would have liked!
Angela from Frittenden, Kent (04 June 2016)

This was the third time we have stayed at owl barn
Confirmed Guest (27 May 2016)

Karen from Peterborough (23 April 2016)

A very pleasant property, nice location and lovely welcome goods. owners very friendly.
Amanda from Great Dunmow (31 October 2015)

We had a lovely time in the cottage. The only disadvantage for us was the road to get there. The winding road , especially in the dark, was a bit daunting. If this is not a thing that would bother you, I would certainly recommend the place, because everything else was great.
Lisette from The Netherlands (24 October 2015)

Property good overall. Toilet downstairs - not good for negotiating stairs with a bend in during the night - might not have booked this one had we known.
Sue from Poole (11 September 2015)

Lovely stay lovely place and location just a shame about the weather. Would def stay there again.
Mary from Brighton (07 September 2015)

Great location. Cottage was well equipped for a weekend away with a toddler. Cosy and comfortable. Would definitely go again!
Andrea from London (31 August 2015)

We had a lovely holiday and would definitely recomend. The barn was beautiful and the weather was wonderful. The area has plenty to offer for the children and there are such many places to visit with lovely eateries. The locals are very friendly and enjoy your company and you being there. The only one down point I wish were there longer!
Julie from Fourmarks, Hampshire (22 August 2015)

Lovely cottage to stay in. it is a most beautiful area.
Confirmed Guest (08 August 2015)

Fab holiday home, take a hairdryer! but all the small things like tea coffee sugar sauces cleaning products etc are provided.
Mrs Tonge from Bolton (11 June 2015)

Very comfortable. Located within easy reach of our choices for daily visits, hever castle, dover castle
Tony from Colne (20 February 2015)

Everything was fantastic, would definitely stay again and highly recommend. only minor drawback was nothing much within walking distance for small children, so had to go everywhere in car.

Perfectly what we needed, greatplace to stay

This was our second visit to owl barn and have been very comfortable there.this year I was suffering with a hip problem and did find the armchairs a bit low but minor problem and found a way around it.

An excellent choice of accomodation and location coupled with good weather. The owl barn suited our needs perfectly.
Alan from Altrincham (20 September 2014)

Steven from Whitley Bay (12 July 2014)

We all enjoyed our stay at owl barn. There were beautiful surroundings offering lovely views during the days and nights. Sunsets were amazing! had to travel most places by car as it was a bit far out from town centres. The accommodations owners janet and richard were very helpful and welcoming. Our two dogs also enjoyed their stay, playing in the garden and meeting the horses ( a surprise for all of us). overall a very cosy, welcoming place to stay! from cathy, maggie, ana, zeus & frankie
Cathy from London (21 June 2014)

Quiet and peaceful. Owners live on site and are very accommodating and helpful. never felt anything was too much trouble, and they always had time to just chat. helped me find a relative I had not seen for 40 years. No significant shortfalls; a toilet upstairs would have been welcome. No hesitation in recommending this place to anybody.
Paul from Dronfield (07 June 2014)

I have nothing but praise for the owl barn. We had a lovely week. So peaceful with the most lovely views.

Gill from Nr Northampton (05 October 2013)

Thoroughly enjoyed holiday, very quite location & peaceful.
Barbara from Wellingborough (07 September 2013)

The nicest holiday accomadation we have stayed in for many years. It is in a beautiful area and ideal for visiting many local atractions and even further away. There was a nice personal touch by the owners on our arrival too. I have already recomended owl barn to my family and friends and will be returning ourselves.
Philip from West Wickham (17 August 2013)

Good location with superb views from the patio. Well located for touring the area. Friendly owners. Everything provided including games, books and dvds in case of a wet day.would recommend this cottage without hesitation. Sofas could do with a bit of padding, otherwise excellent.

The barn is in a lovely setting, with fields and hills just outside the back garden. The welcome chocs and apple juice were a nice touch.the rooms were of a good size and were all very comfortable.

Customer 51 (April 2012)

Clean, comfortable & very peaceful. Excellent.
Customer 52 (March 2012)

Owl Barn is set in a fantastic location. It’s a stone’s throw from the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch railway, and an easy drive to Dover Castle. The owners were friendly, and the property was clean and welcoming. We only stayed a few nights, but would consider going back to use it as a base to explore other areas of Kent.
Customer 53 (October 2011)

Excellent on all areas. Enclosed garden was good for our dogs first and last in the day. Pub in Burmarsh excellent value and dog friendly. If you like history plenty to see and do in the area.
Customer 54 (September 2011)

Well equipped ,clean, quiet, beach, attractions shops and pubs 5 to 10 minutes. Watch out driving on the narrow lanes, don’t expect to get anywhere in a hurry so allow for this if meeting a certain time.
Customer 55 (July 2011)

We holidayed with two dogs and the enclosed garden area was ideal. This is a good spot for touring the Kent coast which we enjoyed. A day on the railway we enjoyed and dog tickets are £1. The recreation ground in Dymchurch is just passed the station and is ideal for dog walking as is the beach but you have to pay to park and need to drive to the far end of the car park.
Customer 56 (July 2011)

Excellent property.
Customer 57 (July 2011)

Very dog friendly, enclosed back garden, even a poop bin provided!
Customer 58 (April 2011)

Lovely comfortable converted barn with helpful, friendly but unobtrusive owners. Sighted in a peaceful place with lovely views yet easily accessible.
Customer 59 (April 2011)

The property was very nice, clean and much bigger then what the photos show. Garden was nice for the dog. There was no noise around, easy access to beaches and surrounding locations like Rye.
Customer 60 (October 2010)

Very warm, comfortable & homely. Beautiful outlook across open fields to the hills. Easy access to local attractions.

Modern, clean, tidy, well equipped, warm, cosy.

Quiet location with reach of a very good beach and other attractions.

Customer 73 (October 2009)

Very comfortable, clean and the owners made us very welcome.
Customer 74 (September 2009)

Super area to go- near to a sandy beach and Port Lympne Wild Animal Park. Lots of little extras which really made it a home from home.
Customer 75 (August 2009)

Canterbury Cathedral and Canterbury Tales worth a visit. Port Lympne wild animal park very good, but a long uphill walk back up to the exit. Neptune and Ship Inn good value. Everything was excellent.
Customer 76 (July 2009)

Lovely accommodation, well presented and very clean and tidy. A wealth of information was in the accommodation on days out, places to eat and walks. Friendly owners and lots of wide open space for the children to play in - along with two lovely horses for them to feed.
