Our family weekend at Old High Hall was a great success. The house is beautiful with many fascinating historic features. There was plenty of room for our family group of eight adults and a one-year-old, with comfortable beds and 3 bathrooms (very important!). On a very frosty weekend the heating was efficient and easy to control. As we were celebrating a late Thanksgiving with our US side, it was important that the kitchen was well equipped and it didn’t let us down. The village shop is in walking distance and there are plenty of good walks nearby. Altogether a comfortable and relaxing stay.

Loved the location and garden. Age of the property makes it fascinating to explore. Very clean and tidy and everyone enjoyed their stay.

Beautiful setting Lovely quirky cottage probably over furnished but having said that the kitchen was the best equipped of any property I've ever booked. No walk in showers so people with disabilities or mobility issues would struggle .I managed to get in the upstairs smaller bath post op hip replacement for a shower so can be done with determination. Dining chairs shed black coating over clothes and rest of house could probably do with replenishing (repair shop springs to mind) . There are more positives on this property than negatives though and I would happily rebook.
