We had a lovely relaxing break at heathfield lodge. The cottage is small (particularly the kitchen area and bathroom), but had everything we needed. We spent most of our time in the garden - eating out on the deck and relaxing on sun loungers on the grass. The only downside is that the gate opens directly onto the road - there's no pavement - and you have to walk a little way along the road to get to your car.
Amy from London (24 June 2017)

Very clean and comfortable cottage in a good position. Owners very attentive.
Linda from Chessington (17 June 2017)

Lovely little cottage with excellent views from the windows. garden was beautiful. we visited the three tuns and the crown whilst staying at the cottage, both within walking distance, take a torch for the way home. the three tuns was excellent, unfortunately we did not have such a good experience at the crown but that happens sometimes. we thoroughly enjoyed our week away even though the weather wasn't great. burley lovely little village to visit, the white stag is well worth booking for dinner. . we will be back, thank you letting us stay in your lovely cottage.
Julie from Brentwood (20 May 2017)

This is situated in a beautiful location. If you are interested in birdlife (which we are) this is an very interesting location. It is very small though and the kitchen is one wall of the living room. Our stay was for 3 days so we were not too inconvenienced. We would not have liked to cook a meal there .
Jim from Rainham (27 April 2017)

Lovely cottage and owner, a lot of thought has gone into making the place cosy and inviting. Plenty of birds visit the garden every day which is nice. We ate at the crown in the village which served great food at reasonable prices. Plenty of info in the cottage regarding where to visit. We would return again in the future for sure.
Melvin from Newport Gwent. (04 March 2017)

Nice cottage. Very quiet and relaxing. Attentive owner.
Harry from Reading (19 February 2017)

It was beautifull the only problem is the gate it's on a buisse road and very dark think it needs lights
Tracyawet from Nottingham (04 January 2017)

We loved our stay in the cottage . it was so cosy and the location could not be better , overlooking open fields with forest nearby . sam was a great host , cottage was spotless and she provided breakfast essentials which was a nice surprise . would definetely recommend staying here and we hope to be back when the weather is nicer so that we can enjoy the cottage garden in all it's glory .
Sanela from Amersham (27 November 2016)

Lovely cosy clean comfortable cottage, south facing garden so the afternoons where lovely in the garden.
Julie from Brentford (12 November 2016)

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location(if you like quiet and private) with a good pub a 5 minute drive away.mrs waite is a lovely lady who greeted us on arrival and had stocked the fridge with the necessary basics.
Richard from Sheffield (29 October 2016)

It was a lovely break in a beautiful cottage, just what we needed! can't recommend this highly enough!
Mark from Feltham (01 October 2016)

Great base to view, the new forest and many local attractions.
Mark from Bury St Edmunds (10 September 2016)

Cottage very clean and comfortable. Lovely garden with many birds visiting all day. The cottage is very well equipped but we would have preferred a king sized bed. Also noted that heating is controlled by owners although they are willing to turn it on by request.
Ann from Deal (29 April 2016)

Heathfield cottage was the ideal place for our first family holiday with our 5 month old son. we'd definitely recommend to others.
Amy from Hemel Hempstead (15 April 2016)

Nice little cottage which was perfectly located for our itinerary during our stay in the new forest.
James from Woking (25 March 2016)

Most comfortable and well equiped cottage ever. Loved every moment. Horrible weather made it seem even more cosy.
Alban from Northwich (30 January 2016)

A lovely cottage in a quiet spot. too far to walk to the pub though as there are no street lights, but only a short drive. everything that you need is provided in the cottage. I would definitely recommend it and will most probably book again.
Anne from Isle Of Man (10 January 2016)

Remote, cosy, basic but very comfortable bolt hole. Highly recommended as a place to escape fora few days.
Confirmed Guest (03 January 2016)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at heathfield lodge. . a beautiful cottage in an amazing location. . what makes this particularly special is the attention to detail that the owners apply - they're lovely! . the furniture is so comfortable.. particularly after a day yomping through the new forest! I could go on, but this is just a very special place. . thank you.
Christina from Coventry (04 December 2015)

Well equipped. Comfortable, clean and good location.
Confirmed Guest (26 November 2015)

Excellent holiday, the weather could have been better but hey ho. Everything we needed was there and the wifi worked perfectly despite their warnings that it may not. The only tiny issues were the tin opener gave up on us and i'd prefer not to park on the roadside.
Peter from Frome (09 October 2015)

I booked this for my daughter and son in laws honeymoon. From the reports they gave I can only say this was beautiful..i spoke to the owner and she was lovely. Definitely to be recommended!
Carole from Rotherham South Yorkshire (02 October 2015)

Heathfield lodge was perfect, our week there was fantastic and we will definitely be returning.
Melanie from Sheffield (28 September 2015)

We had a super week in this gorgeous cottage. it was picture perfect, yet really comfortable and practical and it was the perfect base to explore the new forest from. highly recommended.
Anna from London (01 August 2015)

Absolutely brilliant ! clean, warm, amply equipped, quaint and cosy, and the owners are extremely friendly too! perfect location, didn't want to come home. Will definitely go back :)
Dee from Crayford, Kent (25 July 2015)

This is the second time that we have been back to heathfield lodge, we had such a wonderful time the first visit that we had to go back again . lovely welcoming people, loads to do around the area, very nice food (if y ou don't want to travel too far the village of brangore is just over a mile away and has some very nice pubs with excellent food). the cottage is very well equipt a nd has a very comfy bed , lovley garden and beautiful views, beng on the edge of the new forest. We may very well go back again.
Lesley from Brackley (11 July 2015)

All was very good, would book again , would recommend
Brian from North Kent (06 June 2015)

Could not fault heathfield lodge. Beautiful countryside with plenty of places to visit. Quite, peaceful location with helpful accommodating hosts.
Sheila from Horsebridge (29 May 2015)

The location of this cottage is great, near the main road but quiet and very easy drive to nearest (lovely) village and beautiful walks. The owners were lovely and helpful and all the little details were taken care of. Beautiful small garden which would be lovely to sit in and have breakfast in the summer. I would definitely come back!
Eleni from London (06 April 2015)

The lodge is a beautiful old building with modern facilities and very pleasant and understanding owners. . it is excellently located within easy reach of some of the most interesting southern towns and cities, without the annoying grind of traffic.
Ben from Rugby (23 March 2015)

Nice time but too far out for our needs and not easy access to the cottage for elderly visitors. It was a cold building made worse by not having the centralheating on one night.
Confirmed Guest from Dubai (21 February 2015)

The only slight problem is walking along the road from the car parking space after dark. This comment of course would apply mainly to the winter months.
Arthur from Wootton Bridge (28 December 2014)

Lovely thatched cottage ideal for 2 people especially if looking for a romantic weekend away.
Keith from Cheltenham (16 November 2014)

A picturesque little cottage surrounded by countryside. Perfect for a relaxing break. Lots of little extras made this cottage special for us. Unfortunately we had very bad weather so it was lovely to come back to a warm, cosy home. The only downside is the walk from where the car is parked to the cottage which is only about 50 yards along the lane but is very dark at night. We would still go and stay there again despite this.
Elaine from Bedford (14 November 2014)

Pleasant property with relaxing garden in a rural location but handy for village amenities approx. 1 mile away. Good local pubs/restaurants and plenty of walking area all around. Hosts were very friendly and obliging.
Robert from West Sussex (27 September 2014)

Absolutely lovely cottage in a superb location - quiet and beautiful. Bed was very comfortable and the cottage well equipped. However we lost wifi 2 days in and there was no phone signal, and while that might suit some people we felt a bit lost without our usual hit of social media. Having said thst we would book this cottage again.
Penny from Newhaven (06 September 2014)

An excellent cottage.
Anthony from Epsom (30 August 2014)

Lovely cottage in a lovely location - near to christchurch. Cottage was not equipped or suitable for a toddler despite having a cot provided for us. No highchair, steep wooden staircase with no stair gate, you had to walk through a garden gate straight onto a 40mph road and along the road to where you parked the car. The garden furniture was also tired and in need of replacing- especially the bench which was unusable. .
Michelle from Aylesbury (01 August 2014)

We had a wonderful time, such a lovely cottage. Well stocked with all the equipment we could want. Lovely garden, so nice to sit in with a glass of wine in the evening. The nearby village of bransgore had a selection of shops and very good pubs with great food
Lesley from Brackley (19 July 2014)

Beautiful cottage in an ideal location for visiting the new forest and also the coastal areas. very well equipped and comfortable. lovely garden with long views into the forest. I would highly recommend.
David from Preston (24 May 2014)

A lovely, comfy, cosy cottage.
Sheila from Manchester (03 May 2014)

The heating was turned off after 2 days even though it was included in my booking so I had to cut short my holiday.at my age heating is essential.so I would not trust you again.
Confirmed Purchaser (12 April 2014)

Top little cottage hidden away in the forest, nice easy drive the chirstchruch and we'll equipped for us and our 6 month baby. great place!
Confirmed Purchaser (02 March 2014)

We had a very relaxing week.the cottage was very clean and cosy and had everything you needed and lots of little extras. There was some really good places to eat near by and some great walks.
Sheila from Fareham (02 November 2013)

Perfect cottage in a perfect location, we will be back!
Denis from Ashbourne (14 September 2013)

A lovely stay in a secluded peaceful spot. Very pretty.
Helen from Buckingham (24 August 2013)

Lovely peaceful location, cottage lovely, it had everything we needed. Owner very friendly.
Beverley from Briston (05 Jul 2013)

We were supplied with everything we needed, and left to enjoy our holiday.
Marian (29 Jun 2013)

Secluded and private but we knew mr & mrs waite were there if we needed them. Garden wonderful!
Yvonne from Frome (11 May 2013)

Very welcoming
Samuel from Haslingden (27 April 2013)

This delightful cottage is in a lovely rural location. I knew that our experience was likely to be good when I spoke with sam the week before our arrival. She answered my questions in a very friendly manner. Upon our arrival there was a lovely christmas tree, a bottle of wine and basics in the fridge. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean and beautifully cosy, with everything that we could need. We were left to just chill out without any interference, although it was good to know that sam was close at hand should we need anything. . so, in conclusion this is a lovely place to visit and ticked all our boxes!
Keith from Newton Abbot (27 December 2012)

Cosy, comfortable, well equipped. Quiet with nice garden for summer months. Very warm welcome from owners with starter tea, coffee, milk etc plus a few other goodies.
David from Coventry (17 December 2012)

Lovely cottage, very romantic.
Customer 57 (26 May 2012)

Delightful annex, homely and clean.
Customer 58 (May 2012)

This lovely cottage has everything you could possibly want and more. The owners have thought of everything. There is a welcome tray of "goodies " and as the owners live in the adjoining cottage they are on hand if you need them. The cottage is very comfortable indeed with a decking area and a garden. Bird watchers will love the variety of birds that visit the garden and that can be seen in the woods that back onto it. I highly recommend this cottage and we shall certainly be returning for a third visit.
Customer 59 (April 2012)

The cottage was an excellent choice. Everything we had hoped for and more, we will be going back.
Customer 60 (March 2012)

a perfect retreat to get away from it all, with so many wonderful places within easy reach. The owners had everything any one could need in the cottage, including a friendly cat if you wish to invite him in and useful welcome tray. Perfect.
Customer 61 (December 2011)

This was a lovely cottage in a very lovely location and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there even though the weather was not particularly good as it was November.
Customer 62 (October 2011)

The cottage was comfortable and clean and the owner very helpful. The weather really made our holiday and the cottage is a good base for seeing all that the area has to offer (which is loads!).
Customer 63 (August 2011)

This is a wonderful cottage in a fantastic position. Bransgore shops and pubs are only 5 minutes away by car - there is everything you need. Located close to Christchurch and within easy reach of Bournemouth and Lymington. Have returned five times now!
Customer 64 (July 2011)

Made very welcome but left alone to enjoy ourselves.Good location but a car essential or bikes (which we had and enjoyed). Went canoeing down a river, which was well worth the money (£28 each). Pity the weather was better then we could of sat out on the decking and enjoyed the peace and tranquillity with a glass of wine!!!!
Customer 65 (June 2011)

We liked the fact that this cottage was very secluded and quiet. Often your descriptions online fail to mention whether a cottage is located on or near a busy road. Our second cottage (for the week after this one) was located on an extremely busy road, frequented by large lorries, and the front door was only a few feet from the road. We loved the cottage in every way but that one--it would have been good to have had some warning about the traffic noise.

Customer 67 (May 2011)

The location of the property was excellent. It was very cleanly and the comfort was excellent, too.
Customer 68 (April 2011)

The cottage looked beautiful inside and out. The interior was wonderfully clean and had a really welcoming atmosphere. Everything we could possibly need was provided including welcome pack of groceries and toiletries for the bathroom. The owner greeted us warmly and made us feel really welcome. As bird watchers we were thrilled to spot 23 different breeds just by looking out of the bedroom window !!
Customer 69 (March 2011)

Hospitable yet discreet owner. This was our fifth consecutive visit as it meets all our requirements for a peaceful break.
Customer 70 (February 2011)

Cute little property with plenty of character.
Customer 71 (January 2011)

Compact and cosy even in miserable weather.
Customer 72 (November 2010)

Very cosy, clean and comfortable.
Customer 73 (October 2010)

The location was ideal, very peaceful, it was well equipped and the right size for two people.
Customer 74 (October 2010)

It was very quaint and spotlessly clean. The host had left guest toiletries and a welcome breakfast pack. Although joined to the owner’s cottage it was very private, secluded and peacful.
Customer 75 (October 2010)

Clean, comfortable, well looked after, everything provided.
Customer 76 (August 2010)

Very well situated for exploring the dorset area. Very clean and everything was there that you could want.
Customer 77 (July 2010)

Nice and cool during hot weather because of the thatched roof.
Customer 78 (July 2010)

A really lovely get away break that made us feel human again!!!
Customer 79 (May 2010)

The complete feeling of being away from everything and peace and quiet. Plus watching all the birds in the nearby tree’s was very restful. A good place to chill out.
Customer 80 (May 2010)

Clean, well appointed with lots of unexpected extras. A welcome basket.
