A great little hideaway, well located for touring. lots of places to visit, whether you're into history, nature or simply want somewhere to relax.
Valerie from Bradford (29 July 2017)

A comfortable and cosy place for two. a movement detector external security light would be helpful for when returning to the house in the dark, later in the evening. the bathroom/toilet seemed to be suffering from damp. a larger mirror in the bathroom would be helpful.
Vanessa from Wimborne (22 July 2017)

2nd visit and just as delightful as before. Lovely, friendly, very welcoming owners in margaret and alan. Pretty, private garden which we spent so much time in with our jack russell, snoops. Such a comfortable cottage, so light due to the many windows. Lucky with amazing weather. Will certainly return.
Madeleine from Leeds, Yorkshire (24 June 2017)

My wife & I plus reico (large husky dog) really enjoyed our weeks stay in this lovely little cottage. The owners alan & margaret were so friendly & helpfull. The area is quiet, & the pub in lyminge is dog friendly, & do excellent meals. The surrounding farmland & woods made ideal places to walk the dog, we had day trips in the car to hythe, folkestone, canterbury, & dover. Overall it was a very relaxing holiday, & the cottage an ideal base for us.
Philip from Portsmouth (03 June 2017)

A first class holiday at a reasonable cost .the owners, alan and margaret, were really . friendly and helpful and a pleasure for us to meet them. We are hoping to possibly book again next year, and we would thoroughly recommend. This cottage and the owners to anybody. A big "thank you"from us for their hospitality and friendship!. our curly coat retriever grace took the comfort of the cottage and the garden to a whole. New chilled out level, which we didn't think possible!. thank you once again,a pleasure for us
Robert from Southall,Middx (13 May 2017)

We had a lovely week staying at little cloverland. Bungalow very clean and tidy and had everything we needed. Good choice of local walks, chinease take away/restaurant excellent, didn't get to try the pub as you have to book a table and we didn't. Local shops not too good but better choice of shops in hythe. Margaret and alan very welcoming and helpful.
Mr And Mrs R from Polegate (01 April 2017)

Disappointed..despite, the roses, and the milk in the fridge for the welcome; and the closed garden for our dog. . . the house looks like the pictures on the site, was cleaned except some webs..and dust on the floor behind the toilet door. . . - only 2 little spoons (we bought other), no frying pan to cook meat or eggs. - the alarm of the kitchen -to close by the toaster- did not stop to work when we grilled the bread . - the little vacuum cleaner is not enough powerfull for the carpets and the rugs. . and for the shower, water too hot or too cold, with a too short pipe.
Confirmed Guest (10 December 2016)

Lovely cottage in a lovely location, very good for exploring kent either on foot, in a car or on the heritage railway. The little extras provided by the owners were much appreciated. We have already booked again for next year.
Alan from Poole (15 October 2016)

Really enjoyed the holiday, the cottage is well appointed to all areas and folkestone is very close and easy to reach. we where warmly welcomed and the cottage held everything you would need. . . very comfortable and clean, the garden is enclosed and safe for our dog to roam in great holiday
Anne from Sheffield (17 September 2016)

We had a lovely holiday made better by the friendly and helpful owners alan and margaret
Dawn from Gravesend (10 September 2016)

Very welcoming, peace and quiet brilliant. Shame lovely garden wasn't dog secure for my terrier. Bed comfortable as was main seating in lounge. It was ideal for the quiet getaway I wanted. Local pub do good food.
Linda from Se London (13 August 2016)

This was a lovely clean cottage with a well maintained garden. The walks in the area are fantastic. It was such a lovely week and the cottage had extras for the dog e.g. blankets and bowls. a brilliant week thank you.
Cath from Benfleet (30 July 2016)

Comfy and cosy and clean. we were a concerned our dog escaped the back garden just before leaving. she seemed to get through the hedge.
Customer 13 from Uckfield (15 July 2016)

Very peaceful and quiet, owners were friendly and helpful. Nice to have a private enclosed garden to use ,perfect for a relaxing break. Well situated for exploring the area.
Marilyn from Bexhill (10 June 2016)

It is very well situated for anyone wishing to explore the kent coast and is very rural considering its proximity to the channel tunnel and the m20. . however, as dog owners, we were disappointed that there was so much traffic on loughborough lane, which made it difficult to have a relaxing walk along the lane!
Charis from Cromer (28 May 2016)

Cottage smelt of dampness and there were patches of mould in several places so has a serious damp issue. Cutlery was dirty, plates worn or chipped and equipment out dated (i.e cooker etc) so needing replacement. Whole place needs a complete renovation to sort out damp issue and bring it up to date.
Jennifer from Spalding (06 May 2016)

Really enjoyed the break ideal location. Very dog friendly good enclosed garden .
Brenda from Orpington Kent (23 April 2016)

Bathroom would benefit from a heated towel rail and some other form of heating for the evening as when storage heater went off property was cool. The welcome tray and flowers were really nice and owners very helpful. So many birds visit the garden a nice touch would be feeders that could be replenished by guests if they want too. Property in lovely surrounds, you do need to take care with the drive as quite narrow a large car would struggle.
Linda from Newmarket Suffolk (25 March 2016)

If you want peace and tranquility, this is the place to be. We take our dog and he loves the walking cos there's plenty of it. The accommodation ticks all the boxes and attention to detail is excellent. This was our second visit to little cloverland and are expecting to do a third. Excellent break.
If from Portsmouth (18 March 2016)

The owners were very welcoming and friendly the cottage is well equipped. Ideal for visiting lots of costal areas and beautiful walk along the white cliffs of dover.
Bridget from South Yorkshire (12 March 2016)

We stayed here for christmas and it was a very comfortable and spacious property for 2 people. We even managed to host a christmas lunch for 6 people. The property is very good value for money and the owners are very friendly and helpful.
Allison from Rugby (28 December 2015)

Really clean and very warm only downside for me was no washing machine and tumble dryer as we where there for 2 weeks it would of been useful.
Jane from Ivybridge (21 November 2015)

Tidy clean cottage in a good location nice touch tea tray ready also flowers
Roy from Dunstable (24 October 2015)

2nd stay at this cottage and pleased to report owners as friendly as before and on hand to offer help if needed but also allow us privacy to do our own thing. A big bonus is the acceptance of our dog . surrounding countryside is impressive even if the sun doesn,t always shine.
Mick from Guildford (17 October 2015)

Nice cottage enjoyed holiday despite mixed weather. Always try different places each year. That is why we would not go back.
Brian from Wolverhampton (26 September 2015)

Not bad but the cottage could do with a bit of updating. The couple who own it are very lovely, they could not do enough for us, a1
David from Didcot (22 May 2015)

Loved the holiday cottage ideal for peppy are dog to run around in ,the owners were very nice people and very helpful. We would definitely stay there again .
June from Chester (09 May 2015)

It was a cosy quaint cottage which was ideally located, which was lovely, right opposite a farm, so lovely and picturesque. Wasn't to far away from shops, but far enough. The owners are brilliant, made us feel very welcome which helped us to settle in. A lovely tea tray and flowers were there upon arrival which is the best thing after a long journey, they had even gone as far as putting the week we were staying there tv mag in there, and had also had a lot of leaflets with local bakery, restrurants and sights to see in the area. Really well thought out and very welcoming. The cottage itself, was very clean and well kept and had a home from home feel, big enough for my little family and had all the utensils, and crochery you would need. Blankets were provided so the dog did not scratch the sofa, and was perfect for dog-lovers as your practically in the middle of a field, I know "lottie" loved it! overall a great little get-away, from the hustle and bustle of life, just perfect to relax and recover from the stresses of everyday life.
Kelly from Strood (02 May 2015)

Very clean and comfortable. Would benefit from a wifi connection.
David from Maldon Essex (17 April 2015)

For location and value for money this was excellent, we took our dog who thoroughly enjoyed every minute as did we.
Confirmed Guest (20 March 2015)

We stay in pet friendly, one bedroom cottages fairly often and this rates very highly. It is clean, comfortable, warm, extremely light from numerous windows and well stocked with good quality furnishings and pretty well everything we could need. Margaret and alan were friendly, but unobtrusive hosts. Their gardens are a delight and perfect for our dog. We felt very much at home for the 4 day short break we had. It will be a delight during the summer. So many places to visit in that part of kent.
Madeleine from Leeds, West Yorkshire (13 March 2015)

The bungalow was light, warm, comfortable and clean. It was very pleasant to stay in, with its own garden for our dog. Two downsides; 1. The bathroom needs updating. 2. The lovely countryside location was difficult to find. Overall, it was one of the best places we have stayed in.
Irene from Ipswich (06 December 2014)

Excellent accomodation and very friendly hosts but not intrusive. Very thoughtful with milk in the fridge and tea, sugar and biscuits on the tray, also dog friendly with a nice enclosed garden. This was only a short break but would stay longer if we get the oppotunity . . thank you for a nice 3 days
Roger from Hockley (17 November 2014)

Although the cottage was classed as 'dog friendly' we were requested not to leave out dog alone so this resulted in being unable to enjoy going to many of the places we had hoped to. Saying that, it was nice to get away.
Sarah from Gosport (11 October 2014)

Lots of room for 2 people and added extras made a lovely place to stay very quiet and handy to lots of places of interest would go and stay again
Gillian from Axminster (06 September 2014)

Generally very enjoyable. The website should include a warning about the poor or non existent signal for mobile phones on some networks. We are on vodaphone and it was impossible to get a signal. As the owners were away it would have been frightening in an emergency, if for instance I had been taken ill and my wife had to find help. Also, the entrance is very tight with low stone walls. Perhaps you should warn people who might have wide vehicles.
Anthony from Coventry (30 August 2014)

Perfect spot and very friendly and helpful owners.
Confirmed Purchaser (02 August 2014)

Little cloverland was one of the cleanliness places we have stayed with is own garden .
Donna from Stowmarket (12 July 2014)

Nice location lovely private garden. Helpful and freindly owners
Steve from Burton (05 July 2014)

The accommodation was very comfortable and the owners were very sociable. We enjoyed our stay very much.
Fleming from Woodbridge Suffolk (21 June 2014)

We loved little cloverland and also your company
Kathleen from Australia (07 June 2014)

We found little cloverland very spacious for a one bedroom cottage. Everything you needed was there and very comfortable. the enclosed garden was very peaceful. A lovely getaway from it all accomodation.
Jean from Buckingham (31 May 2014)

Absolutely fabulous margaret and alan are wonderful people and we had the best time full of relaxation and enjoyment.. would definitely stay there again and will recommend to all friends and family
Pauline from Hastings (03 May 2014)

The cottage was very clean and comfortable and we were made to feel welcome with a nice cup of tea and biscuits. The cottage was a bit to far. From the village for our age group, (we are two senior citizens)
Virginia from Burnley (26 April 2014)

Ideal accommodation for two and dog friendly, safe enclosed garden, well situated for a peaceful relaxed break. Would definitely return at a later date.
Mick from Guildford (05 April 2014)

A very peaceful rural location, the cottage was very clean and comfortable with lots of welcome 'little extras'. most other self catering cottages we have stayed in do not supply for example, washing up liquid! the owners were available but not obtrusive and we spent a very enjoyable week. .
Janet from Southampton (22 March 2014)

Great location.
Mark from Brighouse (27 Jul 2013)

Very peaceful location - comfortable furniture - secluded garden
Margaret from Bourne (13 April 2013)

Customer 54 (December 2011)

Our 9th cottage, in terms of comfortable bed and lounge furniture and a shower that is reasonable this was easily the best yet.Like many other guests, according to the visitors book, we will return.
Customer 55 (July 2011)

Very good, comfortable cottage and the owners were very helpful with local knowledge. Weather was not very good but you can’t do anything about that. We enjoyed the break and the outings we had on the better days.
Customer 56 (June 2011)

Very comfortable and well equipped cottage and we were given very helpful local information.
Customer 57 (May 2011)

Detached ,small, well equipped bungalow. Best part was plenty of sun-light.(Loads of windows). Good choice of books and video cassettes & audio books. No hair-dryer, but the shower was lovely and warm. Fan heater was not working, but if you turn on the storage heaters, they are great. Make sure you turn on the immersion heater. 10 out of 10. I would definately come here again as it was so quiet and not overlooked. Julie & Keith.
Customer 58 (May 2011)

Ideal location for visiting lots of ’tourist’ sites.
Customer 59 (April 2011)

Property was perfect for couples and the garden was enclosed all round and great for dogs. Owners very friendly and cottage well kept and cosy.
Customer 60 (March 2011)

The cottage was very cosy and comfortable and in a good location for many attractions including the Wildlife Park and Dover Castle. We were too early in the year for the Hythe and Dymchurch Railway so we will have to return at some time in the future.
Customer 61 (March 2011)

A comfortable cottage which is well placed for touring East Kent. Pleasant, helpful owners.

Customer 65 (September 2010)

Nice and compact. Clean warm and ideal for my little dog. A two minute walk to a bus -stop , from where buses run 7 days a week to Canterbury and Folkestone.
Customer 66 (September 2010)

The owner made it feel very homely, it was like being a house guest rather than a commercial enterprise.
Customer 67 (August 2010)

The location was rural with a good, reliable bus service. Taxi prices from Sandgate and Hythe were reasonable although they had problems finding the location. The owners were very welcoming and overall a very enjoyable experiences.
