Great location..lovley cottage.fair price.excellent Barrie from Pontefract (17 June 2017)
Loved the village, the pub, the people and even the weather!!! we had a delightful time. The only improvement inside the cottage I would suggest is a new sofa. The current one has been well used and is past its prime. Otherwise it was the perfect week in the cottswolds! we will certainly return. Neil from Williamsburg Va (22 April 2017)
We had a very enjoyable and tranquil short stay. David from Solihull (27 February 2017)
Amazing cottage in a superb location, contains everything you need for a home from home retreat. . was cosy and comfy from arrival as the lights were put on and the heating for our arrival. Snowshill arms across the road great country pub with a warm welcome and lovely food and interesting locals!. do take provisions with you as no local shop, closest in broadway 5 min drive away. Perfect location for exploring the cotswolds. Will we return? in a heartbeat and can't wait to get booked again. Claire from Nottingham (10 February 2017)
We fell in love with the cottage and the area brilliamt place to stay. Carol from Lakenheath Suffolk (31 October 2016)
A stunning cottage in a stunning location. Glandon from Cardiff (15 October 2016)
Excellent cottage in a quiet hamlet. Hill view cottage has well appointed rooms and had plenty of space for us, a nice garden at the back and easy parking. Lovely area for walking, their is a good stream railway only a few miles away and snowshill is in easy reach of stratford-upon-avon. Local pub friendly and serves a varied menu for all tastes, obviously it can be busy on a saturday in the height of summer, there is a good variety of restaurants in broadway village, a few miles away. Loved the cottage and the area, we would consider staying there again. David from Dover (20 August 2016)
Great location with stunning views. cottages excellent very clean and we'll equipped Steve from Kent (01 July 2016)
Lovely quaint cottage, with lots of character in a amazing location. Would recommend to family and friends. Anne from Emsworth (18 June 2016)
Lovely quiet village setting. Very comfortable accommodation, with very good facilities. A very enjoyable break. Stephen from Leamington (26 May 2016)
Lovely cottage, peaceful with wonderful views and a friendly local pub serving good pub grub. . appreciated the black out blinds and the long mirror in the bedroom. . shame about the smelly fridge we found on arrival, felt the four pound additional (local) charge for towels was unnecessary and being rudely knocked up 'bang on 10am' and forced to depart exactly on time. . recommend a more customer friendly caretaker be found to increase the likelihood of repeat business / personal recommendations. . . we rented 5 cottages last year without any problem. Andy from Leatherhead (28 March 2016)
A beatiful cottage in a beautiful village, the cottage was short of nothing, the snowshill arms pub is a fantastic oldy world pub where all the staff made us really welcome and the regular customers were very nice too. Great food choice, everything we had was delicious. Already booked the cottage for same week next year. James from Wigan Lancashire (17 March 2016)
The cottage was clean and comfortable in a lovely location. Very cosy with everything we needed. It was a little cold in there even though the central heating was on. This may be because of the open plan staircase. We were led to believe there was a log burner in the accommodation, however it was in fact an electric replica with a fan heater. other than that everything was very satisfactory. Jane from Walsall (25 February 2016)
Lovely location, idilic spot. cottage was full of charm however the living room furniture could be more comfortable. Marvis from South Wales (07 December 2015)
Excellent place to stay very nice pub in village Jackie from Dorset (03 October 2015)
A clean comfortable cottage in a very pretty village. David from York (05 September 2015)
A lovely cottage in a great location. Great base to explore the cotswolds and surrounding cottage. The cottage was everything we wanted and more. A lovely quiet location with a great pub within 2 minutes walk which served great food and staff were very friendly. Would love to return. Lynn from Merseyside (29 August 2015)
Fabulous cottage in a fab location Confirmed Guest (22 August 2015)
We spent a really relaxing and enjoyable week at hill view in august. A very clean comfortable cottage, fully equipped, we felt instantly at home. Lovely, would definitely revisit. Confirmed Guest (15 August 2015)
The cottage is charming and well equipped and the location idyllic! spoilt for things to do in the area in four days and absolutely love the morning rush hour - one car at 7.30am, one horse rider at 8.00 am followed by another car at 8.30am! peace and quiet - bliss! the weather excelled itself and we even seemed to have our own gardeners! the only downside was the fish and chips meal at snowshill arms - poor meal but not your responsibility. would rebook and have recommended the cottage since. Helen from Milton Keynes (09 July 2015)
This is a very lovely little cottage and a pretty little village. Some updating could be done to the bathroom but overall there is everything you need for a comfortable stay. . then we come to something we found out whilst we were there. The cottage is haunted. A few people had left comments in the guestbook about this and we heard and saw things going on during the night. In the evening it felt as is you are being watched and this made the nights unbearable. We feel something should have informed us of this when booking as we wouldn't have stayed here as ghosts and ghouls aren't our thing. Mike from Gravesend (27 March 2015)
Fabulous first holiday with our 5 month old :). . cosy, warm, everything in working order, spiral staircase a little scary when holding a baby but that was probably just me! . . we visited nearby broadway which was lovely, full of independent shops. . highly recommend this cottage so much nicer than a hotel and at the same price. Jess from Hemel Hempstead (16 March 2015)
We had a wonderfully restful & peaceful break at hill view cottage and enjoyed some lovely walks in the beautiful surrounding countryside. The cottage itself is very cosy and welcoming, with lots of easy watch dvd's in case the weather was too bad to wander out. We would recommend this cottage to anyone and must say that louise (housekeeper) was extremely helpful in all aspects and made sure the place was warmed up for our arrival. Jeff from Harpenden (02 February 2015)
Very beautiful cottage end village also! we liked the garden!. when we arrived, we couldn't find the key of the door. But we succeeded.. Arno from Gouda (09 August 2014)
We loved this cottage, and the village is incredibly beautiful and peaceful. Just looking out any window is a real treat, and the little garden in back is paradise. Diane from Chapel Hill, Nc. Usa (06 June 2014)
Great location and nice cottage. Only problem, seating on settee wants a bit of attention. Arnold from Dereham (17 May 2014)
What an absolutely charming place, village and cottage. Not being used to english villages though, we didn't realize there was no shop, and not having transport that caused a bit of a dilemma. so think that could be mentioned. Loved everything about this place, we consider ourselves blessed to have experienced such peace and beauty. Genevieve from Margaret River, Western Australia (09 May 2014)
Great cottage in a great location. It was our second stay here and we thoroughly enjoyed it!!! Hannah from Stoke Poges (28 December 2013)
Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Pat from London (26 August 2013)
Location was perfect. a quiet, pretty village. the size of the cottage was fine and we had everything we needed for a week. Helen from Crawley (29 Jun 2013)
Location & cleanliness David from Burbage (15 Jun 2013)
Lovely, well-equipped cottage in a beautiful location. We wholeheartedly recommend this cottage (as do all of those who have commented in the guest book). we look forward to staying again :-) note that this is located 2+ miles from the nearest shops (broadway) but there is a pub (snowshill arms) over the road which has good food, beers and company (not to mention a supply of emergency chocolate!). snowshill manor (5 mins walk), in addition to the eclectic collection and lovely grounds has a great tea room/restaurant, and broadway (30 mins walk/5-10 drive) has everything you need (supermarket, restaurants, tea shops, etc). this is a great location for walking the cotswold way and other routes. We will return! D&Amp;N from Birmingham (13 April 2013)
Location Jane from Southampton (11 March 2013)
Beautiful cottage, picturesque location and all equipment very good. Very nice neighbours who helped dig us out of the snow! almost all towns and villages nearby are wonderful, except evesham (stay away!) James from Bishop'S Stortford (26 January 2013)
Nice and warm in cold weather, very welcoming. comfortable beds, convenient kitchen. lovely village! Diane from Felton, Ca (05 January 2013)
Lovely location. A warm and comfortable cottage. A perfect base from which to explore our favourite bits of the cotswolds. Everything we could have asked for really. David from Dawlish, Devon (17 December 2012)

Attractive village location. John from Colchester (04 August 2012)
A lovely cosy cottage in a pretty village with views of the church and the hills nearby. It’s an ideal location if you’re looking for peace and quiet (well, it was very quiet in February) as there’s not even a shop in the village. Larger Cotswold-stone villages and towns nearby are also well worth a visit, and walking through the beautiful countryside is a highlight. Customer 40 (February 2012)
Such a cosy, welcoming cottage; a true home from home. Ideally placed for sightseeing, walking, horse riding and many other activities. The beauty and tranquility of the cottage and Snowshill are both refreshing and inspiring. I look forward to staying at Hill View Cottage again. Customer 41 (October 2011)
Fantastic accommodation, fantastic location. We had a great time. Village is small and fairly remote. (No shop, only one pub, etc.) But, if you are prepared for it, and willing to drive to Broadway for shopping, that’s just fine. Very clean, warm, cosy, welcoming. Good condition. Quiet. Peaceful. Lovely bedroom. Pleasant lounge. Good, albeit old-style, bathroom. Customer 43 (March 2011)
The location was lovely, the cottage was warm and cosy, and everything worked fine. Customer 44 (November 2010)
Very comfortable and warm. Customer 45 (October 2010)
Lovely cosy cottage, every need catered for. Stunning views, located in a beautiful village. Customer 46 (May 2010)
Very comfortable and clean property. thought it was very welcoming to have put the lights on and the fire lights prior to our arrival on a cold march afternoon.(very nice touch). Documentation at the property was also very useful. Customer 47 (March 2010)
It was exactly as it looked in the brochure and on line, very pretty, quaint but warm and cosy. Great location for walking, good local pub with beer and food. Facilities good in cottage. Customer 48 (December 2009)
