A very good cottage in a lovely location with great rural views including the distant ocean. Beautiful sunsets. The owner lives next door & is an absolute gent! nothing really to fault it although on a very minor note a cheese grater & a knife sharpener would not go amiss! Peter from Poole (05 May 2017)
Perfect for just me and the dogs! lovely walks from the doorstep. Susan from Henley On Thames (10 April 2017)
A gorgeous cottage in a lovely quiet location. Had a great weekend and it was an ideal base to explore the area. Would recommend the witchcraft museum at boscastle (good fun), padstow (especially rick stein's seafood restaurant), the local church - st gennys and crackington haven. Anthony, the owner, was extremely welcoming and it was a lovely touch to have a vase of daffodils to welcome us. We would definitely stay again. Julie from Liverpool (03 April 2017)

This was our 4th visit to coxford barn and certainly not our last. It's a great location for travelling north cornwall. The barn itself has everything you need and the owner always makes you feel welcome. It's great for dogs too and has a secure garden. I would highly recommend! Great little cottage, well set out, comfy bed and everything works as it should. Owner next door if needed and very helpful. No wifi or phone signal takes a little getting used to, but would recommend this cottage to anyone. Tom from Ashford (04 April 2016)
A lovely cottage maintained to a very high standard. Had everything we required with the only thing missing being wi-fi. . good location with pubs and local shops all close by. Nigel from Lincoln (25 March 2016)
Excellent - no issues. Paul from Middlesex (23 October 2015)
Fabulous cosy cottage, peaceful, lovely views from the garden. Ideal location especially for dog walking as woods, beaches, coast paths and many other suitable walks nearby. So much to explore. Gill from Solihull (09 October 2015)
A beautiful cottage in a lovely secluded, peaceful location. The cottage is perfect for dog owners with slate floors & an enclosed garden, backing on to fields (small dogs may be able to get between the bats of the wooden gates though). it is on a typical cornish narrow lane with views across fields towards the sea ensuring some stunning sunsets. . . the owner was very welcoming whilst being unimposing on our privacy. . . a wonderful relaxing holiday. We plan on returning here soon! Gill from Nottingham (02 October 2015)
Location loverly but not very safe in our opinion for walking on country lanes with dogs. One 2 seat sofa very uncomfortable as was bed. Perhaps need to be brightend up. 1toilet roll 1 teatowel, not enough and perhaps some kitchen towel roll would be good. Judith from Merseyside (25 September 2015)
Beautiful location, well equipped with stunning sea/rural view. Would recommend. Perfect base for exploring cornwall. Sue from Coulsdon Surrey (04 September 2015)
We loved the cottage very much. So very clean it's so nice to be able to find a lovely place that takes 2 dogs . its so peaceful you couldn't ask for more. Anthony is a gent. Thank you for making it a great place stay. We most definitely be back . 2 very happy dogs Denise from Barnstaple (28 August 2015)
Good two weeks away very quiet little cottage friendly owner . good local walks for the dogs . would highly recommend coombe barton pub the meals were exceptional . beautiful sunsets views from pub and cottage Sandra from Leicestershire (21 August 2015)
The cottage was lovely and had a fantastic view. Only quibble, no wifi, no equipment operating instructions ie microwave and front door lock very very stiff. ( we did let owner know about the door lock as we thought it may be dangerous in case of fire). but we all including the dogs had a great holiday. Ronald from Allhallows, Kent (26 June 2015)
We had a lovely holiday at coxford barn, anthony the owner is a true gentleman and was very helpful especially as our car broke down whilst there. His offer of help was very much appreciated. The cottage itself is in a quiet lane, the garden is private and dog safe (a small dog may be able to escape through the gate) with far reaching views to the sea, we saw some beautiful sunsets. Bude is not far away for provisions and national trust crackington haven is just a short car ride away for a lovely beach. We walked along the coastal path from here. The cottage was spotlessly clean and we can thoroughly recommend it. Ann from Cheshire (12 June 2015)
Wonderful little cottage in s wonderful place Eve from Staffordshire (29 May 2015)
Perfect.. already booked again. Gill from Solihull (17 October 2014)
This is a lovely cottage, in a fantastic location with great views. We have stayed twice now and both holidays have been equally as good!! the beach is within walking distance, you can either walk down a fairly quiet road or, by exploring through the woodlands. We stayed with two large dogs with plenty of room, the cottage has everything you could need. The owner is very nice and we look forward to planning our third stay. Andrea from Shropshire (10 October 2014)
A lovely cottage that provides a perfect base for exploring the area or somewhere simply to relax. The outdoor space was ideal for the dogs and anthony was excellent to deal with. Michael from Blackburn (03 October 2014)
Fantastic little cottage in peaceful location. Karen from Dronfield (26 September 2014)
Nigel, lesley and our 2 14 year old dogs mac & mabel had a thoroughly good time. We were warmly welcomed by anthony & emma nothing was too much trouble. The cottage was very clean, warm & comfortable with everything required. . the location was ideal, easy to get wherever you wanted. Good walking area and very dog friendly on beaches, cafes, pubs and places to visit. Thank you. . kind regards. . . nigel and lesley Nigel from Turner (19 September 2014)
A lovely cottage in a quiet location, great base to explore north devon and cornwall. Joan from Brierley Hill (05 September 2014)
Superb cottage in typical cornish location thanks Linda from Ledbury (29 August 2014)
Owner lovely/good base for touring/local beach not dog frdly garden not 100% secure/no info on how to work dvd oven etc we couldnt get a dvd chl/no broom to keep dog hairs off rug although this was a requirement only provided with a dust pan & brush as I have a knee injury I found this difficult Yvonne from Coventry (22 August 2014)
An excellent venue for our holidays in cornwall. We were made very welcome by the owner, anthony, who was on hand for any queries but respected our privacy as well. The location is perfect for access to the coastal paths for walking and the small beach, yet just far enough out to give peace and quiet. We would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to get away from it all. It was also perfect for dog owners with its enclosed garden. Nigel from Bolton (15 August 2014)
Bed needs updated as does the seating Carl from Corby (18 July 2014)
A great place too stay to relax and enjoy the area, great for dogs with its own garden , enjoyed watching the sun go down, two great dog friendly beaches 10 mins away, was a shock not to have a phone signal at the cottage but turned into a treat having a quiet time. David from Manchester (04 July 2014)
Excellent in every possible way. Confirmed Purchaser (27 June 2014)
Lovely quiet cottage perfect for a couple. Very dog friendly garden. Would stay there again. Sarah from Verwood (13 June 2014)
Gorgeous, quiet and sublime. Perfect couples retreat. Confirmed Purchaser (30 May 2014)
We had a lovely week. The cottage was in a quite magical setting and had all the comforts we needed. Although we were mostly lucky with the weather we did manage to get sopping wet on one of the days. Having returned, it was nice to find that the heaters were not night storage and we were soon feeling warm and snug. It was great that the garden was so well fenced that we were able to relax without worrying about losing the dogs. Nigel from Bromley Kent (23 May 2014)
A very welcoming owner made the start of the holiday excellent. It's location made it ideal with no mobile phone reception. We had excellent weather too. we would definitely go there again. Eileen from Burnley (09 May 2014)
Already booked to return this autumn!! cannot wait. Superb location for exploring. Brilliant for our dogs. Really cosy cottage. Great holiday. Gill from Solihull (11 April 2014)

Really enjoyable holiday. We have already booked coxford barn again and cannot wait to go back. Superb setting for exploring our favourite places in n. Cornwall. Very peaceful and a very cosy and warm barn. Gill from Solihull (18 October 2013)
Second visit to coxford barn, and just as fantastic a holiday as the last. great accommodation with everything you need and situated in a very dog friendly location. third visit for next year already booked! Frances from Hounslow (04 October 2013)
A beautifully located cottage away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Quiet and tranquil and yet within an easy drive of most amenities. Enclosed garden was perfect for the dog who enjoyed nothing more than sitting at the bottom of the garden watching the sheep in the next field. Owner lives next door and is very welcoming. Lynn from Paignton (27 September 2013)
Coxford barn was absolutely ideal for myself, husband and two dogs (including one large one). we had a very warm but unobtrusive welcome from the host and found the equipment and layout of the barn ideal for our holiday & it was really cosy. The garden was well contained and looked out onto rolling hills with sheep. The coast is a short drive away & we quickly found our favourite dog friendly beaches. Thank you for a lovely stay. Confirmed Purchaser (13 September 2013)
Coxford barn is smallish but perfectly adequate. we enjoyed several early evenings sitting in the garden which has a beautiful country view. although there are two or three properties nearby, once inside the gate you do not know they are there. The owner is charming and was very kind to us. Margaret from Camberley (06 September 2013)
A very nice little cottage in a great location, just right for a romantic holiday for two. Location is secluded but very handy for bude and other places. Only minor problem lack of a really good pub within short walk distance but then you can't have everything. Steve from Dorset (30 August 2013)
Really would appreciate a more comfortable bed!! please!!!! Bill from Chudleigh (23 August 2013)
Lovely small cottage, next door to very helpful and friendly owner. Slept better from very first night than we generally do at home. The only minus we found was that the main gate could do with some wire infill along the bottom as a small dog could get underneath. not much traffic in lane but next door has a cattle grid and our staffie. Shot out while gate open and caught his leg in grid. fortunately he forgot it after a few minutes! . some lovely places within easy travelling distance, especially boscastle and port isaac (parking now a problem there if you are bad with walking up hills). bude is a nice small town, best for shopping and petrol (morrisons), and pleasant beaches. Would visit the cottage again, but probably leave dogs as we picked a very hot week, and they restricted our ability to go anywhere. To summarise, you will not regret booking this property. Peter from Sutton Coldfield (19 Jul 2013)
Quiet location, beautiful views across open countryside to the sea. Anthony was a very welcoming host, who was happy to help in any way he could. . thoroughly recommended, I will be going again hopefully ! Kevin from Oxfordshire (21 Jun 2013)
Views were lovely. Very quiet. Jayne from Barnsley (31 May 2013)
Lovely and clean and comfortable with everything you need. owner very friendly and helpful. lovely location. Susan from Blandford Forum (17 May 2013)

Great location, lovely views, nice retreat. Alex from Orpington (01 April 2013)
Very friendly property owner. Delightful location and property. Very secluded and quiet. Would highly recommend. Ideal for dogs too as very safe and secure garden. Carl from Horsham, West Sussex (07 September 2012)
This cottage was so well laid out, it was comfortable and very clean. The surroundings were lovely, and our two dogs loved the garden area. Customer 65 (September 2012)
Our stay at Coxford Barn exceeded are expectations. It was in a fantastic rural location with easy access to local amenities and only a short distance from the beach and lovely walks from the door step. The property easily accommodated our two large dogs and the enclosed garden was secure and ideal. Customer 66 (September 2012)
Cottage in good location for exploring North Cornwall, fantastic beaches near driving distance. Cottage was a good base. Customer 67 (September 2012)
Lovely barn in an excellent location! Confirmed Purchaser (24 August 2012)
The Cottage was perfectly situated for our needs and with two dogs was ideal with a small garden and patio. The owner provided a deck chair as we had perfect weather for sitting out and relaxing in the garden. Although the local beach didn’t allow dogs, there are good walks over the coastal path and a short drive to Widenouth Bay which is dog friendly, and shopping at Bude was good. Trebarwith Strand is also a nice place to visit but check tides and get there early for parking. Port Isaac and Padstow are a little further but worth a visit too. We will definately book again. Customer 69 (July 2012)
Excellent location very peaceful owner welcomed us on arrival. Customer 70 (May 2012)
Fantastic location for exploring North Cornwall. The cottage was pristine, everything brand new/in great condition. Customer 71 (April 2012)
Well placed cottage for exploring Cornwall, with good pubs and resturants near by. Customer 72 (April 2012)
A very friendly welcome from the owner - enclosed garden was excellent for our Shar pei. Cosy would sum this holiday up - Never had the TV on once during the evenings - just relaxed with a bottle (or 2) of Merlot. Thank you so much. Customer 73 (April 2012)
A wonderful week at Coxford Barn and very dog friendly, including a nice secure garden. Easy to get to many local attractions (Padstow, Tintagel and Boscastle) but in a lovely rural setting. Some wonderful coastal walks within 10 minute drive. Customer 74 (October 2011)
Beaches nearby are not dog friendly, and thr road alongside is busier than you would expect. Customer 75 (October 2011)
This property was clean and tidy with an enclosed garden ideal for dog lovers. The views are outstanding. Located very close to Bude Summerleaze beach where dogs can be taken all year and a good pub and shop within close proximity. It is located in a central location, Newquay is just under an hour away. Beautiful cottaage had everything required for a self catering holiday. Customer 76 (August 2011)
The cottage is in a great location with great facilities for all your needs. I would not hesitate to return many times. Customer 77 (June 2011)
This is a fantastic property located in a guiet spot, but only a short distance form the coast and local amenities (pubs, shop, cafes, garage etc) and in easy reach of many beautiful and interesting spots. Bude, Crackington Haven, Boscastle, Tintagel, Port Isaac etc are all in easy reach as well as numerous walks and coastal paths etc. The property is finished to a very high standard and has pretty much everything that you could want for your break. It has a lovely garden and patio from which you can see the sea and the garden is completely fenced and secure for those, who like us, have a dog! Parking is ’off road’ in a large secure area within the garden. It has just recently been converted to a holiday property and we had the privilege of being the first people to stay in it. The owner lives in the farm adjacent and is very welcoming and accommodating, but in no way interfering (we saw him on arrival and departure and bumped into him once during the week). We have stayed in numerous cottages and this is without doubt one of the best that we have encountered. Customer 78 (May 2011)
