We stayed at the cottage with our dog in july. We had a lovely relaxing week, the house is in a great location in the peak district so an excellent base for visiting the area. The house itself is quiet and in a beautiful location. Well equipped and very comfortable. the owners live nearby and were very helpful and friendly but never intrusive. We really enjoyed the hot tub after our long walks and bike rides! Helena from Hampshire (29 July 2017)

A very peaceful, relaxing week in a wonderful cottage that is ideally located for both walking and sightseeing. . the coachman's cottage is located next to a lovely little stream which you can hear and watch whilst sitting on the double swing seat or relaxing in the lovely warm hot tub. the cottage has been newly converted to a very high standard accommodation and the owners have thought of everything. the bedroom is very quiet and comfortable and it is fully equipped with hair dryer, tv, white towelling dressing gowns, huge yellow duck towels for the hot tub, lovely grey fluffy towels for the bathroom and a wonderful fan when needed. . the comfortable lounge has an easy to use and very effective log burner (endless supply of logs, kindling etc. Included in price). alternatively, the heating is also very effective and warms the cottage up in about 5-10 minutes. there are also lots books, dvds, with player, ipod holder, radio, board games, jigsaws (with foldup jigsaw board!) and many other very thoughtful touches. . . the kitchen has everything we could think of and it was lovely on arrival to find a very tasty complimentary cake, tea/coffee and even a complimentary bottle of fizz with special hot tub flute glasses!. . last but not least the owners. they live next door but you never see them unless you want to. we met richard on arrival and he gave us a very warm welcome and then we had another question during our stay and they were very helpful with a speedy response. . we went on a number of lovely long walks and recommend walking around the reservoirs (especially with dogs) and also up the goyt valley which is well worth the walk up for the view from shining tor. . there are a number of good restaurants and cafes in buxton but our favourite was the simply thai. . we would not hesitate in recommending this cottage and believe it is good value for money and well worth the price. Keith from Lincolnshire (29 April 2017)

Beautiful cottage in a beautiful setting. And you thought of everything we made for need, hope to be back again in the future. Confirmed Guest (21 November 2016)
We have just returned from a 7 night stay at the coachman's cottage & have to admit it is the best cottage we've ever stayed in. Spotlessly clean & the little things the owners have considered you may need (or have forgotten!) made our stay everything we had hoped for. Hot tub amazing & we are already looking at dates for a quick return. David from Middlesbrough (18 November 2016)
The cottage itself is modern yet cosy. Every need you could think of has been catered for here, from basic supplies in the kitchen cupboards and torches in your bedside table to relaxing in a luxurious hot tub. A real gem of a place, and perfectly located to experience the peak district. We would, and certainly will be recommending this cottage to family and friends! Matt from Wirral (10 November 2016)
What a fantastic cottage! it is kitted out with everything you could wish for and beautifully renovated. The log burner and hot tub make it extra special. A great setting and ideal for getting to local villages and hill walking. We'll definitely be back for another stay! we can't recommend it highly enough! Kat from Cambridge (04 November 2016)
Cottage was very clean and well equipped and although the lounge area felt small, there was plenty of seating for two people. we made good use of the outside hot tub, which was especially welcome after a long walk and a cycle trip. the owners had thought of everything and we wanted for nothing. Angela from High Wycombe (14 October 2016)
Exquisite in every detail, idyllic in every way, perfect for a quiet relaxing break. Keith from Hockwold (07 October 2016)
Beautiful cottage could of asked for much better, highly recommended staying there. . . location was great local walks an shops where all very close. Confirmed Guest (30 September 2016)
The coachman's cottage is an absolutely amazing place to stay. Clare and richard are both lovely hosts and incredibly welcoming. Situated in a small village in the peak district with an easy enough drive to both buxton and bakewell, you can just relax in the excellent hot tub ( which we did..a lot!! ) or take in some of the walks and sights that the peak district has to offer. The accommodation itself is perfect, set over three floors it is a very modern and clean cottage. The kitchen is full of useful utensils and it also has guides on how to use all of the mod cons. The living room has a very comfortable l shaped sofa and flat screen tv. The addition of a log burner was very cosy after an evening in the hot tub drinking prosecco. The bedroom which is on the top floor has a nice king size bed which very comfy and a decent wardrobe so no need to live out of a suitcase. Bathroom is fine, nice powerful shower, with a bath if you'd prefer. I would highly recommend staying here and will very much look forward to our next stay at the coachman's cottage. Mike from Shrewsbury (19 September 2016)
Can't fault this cottage at all. One of the most peaceful and relaxing holidays we have had. The welcome was second to none, and the owners have done an amazing job on this cottage it's very tastefully done with top notch fixtures and fittings. We wanted for nothing in this very well equipped cottage. The owners are very helpful and really want you to feel at home and have all you need and more. Sheryl from York (16 September 2016)
Fantastic holiday cottage, which has been really well thought out. The cottage has everything you need for a private getaway and the owners have included nice touches to make your holiday even easier. There is plenty to do in the area and they have a lovely local pub 0.25miles from the cottage. But if you want to just relax at the cottage it is the perfect location. Perfect holiday cottage and we couldn't fault it. Jessica from Slough (02 September 2016)
The perfect cottage. Owners richard and claire were very nice and helpfull. Having stayed in over 30 cottages in the last 13 years this one was by far the best. Can't wait to return. Very private and ideal for couples. Rob from Wolverhampton (26 August 2016)
