The chapel cottage is set in a beautiful location, the interior is decorated to a high standard, and altogether we found it to be a very peaceful and relaxing place to stay. both kate and kevin the owners of the estate are just amazing people, who are there if you need to ask them for anything. We had a good look around all of the other properties within the grounds, and are looking forward to returning to webbery for another relaxing break away. Beverley from Cheshire (24 June 2017)
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay was such a lovely location - quiet and peaceful and the owners are a lovely couple always had time to stop for a quick chat but never intrusive. Philip from St.Albans (03 June 2017)
We stayed at the chapel the week beginning 6th may & had a great week there. The owners are very friendly & helpful, they met us on arrival with homemade scones & there was milk & wine in the fridge. The chapel was well thought out with great views, comfortable & clean, with a sheltered sitting out area - great for eating al-fresco which we did quite a lot as the weather was excellent. Lots of grounds & parkland to explore, we arrived to birdsong, bluebells, lambs & lots of peace & quiet. If you like to be at one with nature this is the place to be. We saw hares, a vixen with her cubs, bats, song thrushes & squirrels. Also the cottage is equipped with tea/coffee etc & we were encouraged to help ourselves to as much of the produce from the walled gardens as we wanted. Good value, with the owners to hand should you have any problems, helpful but not intrusive. We would highly recommend & hope to return again soon. Many thanks. Ian from Lincoln (13 May 2017)
I enjoyed my stay at the chapel. It was perfect for my requirements and katie and kevin could not have been better hosts. The solitude was wonderful. I definately would recommend staying here and fully intend to book a further stay. Kevin from Eastbourne (28 October 2016)
Lovely cottage, friendly owners, beautiful location. we thoughly enjoyed our week at chapel cottage. Carol from Buckden Cambs (01 October 2016)
We had a wonderful stay at the chapel. It is the cleanest and most well appointed and equipped cottage we've ever stayed in. Kerry from Leigh-On-Sea (10 September 2016)
We loved it. Our hosts, mr.and mrs. De haan were charming and very helpful. It was so nice to be told we could pick fresh vegetables and sweet peas from their walled vegetable gardens. The grounds were lovely. The chapel had one or two of the problems an older property has. The bathroom was small and the steam has clearly created a few damp patches but nothing that in anyway impeded our stay. The overall decor of the house was tasteful and, most importantly, the bed was comfortable with fresh white linen. The antique furniture smelt of polish when we arrived. Georgina from Bainton, Near Stamford (23 July 2016)
This was our second visit to webbery, and it was just as good as the first time. on arrival at the chapel we were greeted to the very welcome sight of some freshly baked scones and a chilled bottle of wine. the chapel is furnished to a very high standard, and the bed was extremely comfortable. with no traffic noise, just the sound of the birds singing, we were able to completely relax and recharge our batteries. the estate is situated just a couple of miles outside of bideford, but it is very easy to access all the local amenities and tourist attractions. one of the highlights of our stay was seeing our first wild hare, just outside of the french doors - an amazing sight. A very big "thank you" to kate and kevin, our hosts. we will most definitely be back for a third visit. Liz from Yeovil (27 May 2016)
A lovely cottage with an interesting history in beautiful and peaceful grounds. Friendly but non intrusive hosts. Richard from Dorchester (21 May 2016)
My stay could not have been better. Webbery is a beautiful place, chapel cottage is calm, welcoming and perfectly converted and everything I could have needed was provided. Katy and kevin de haan are perfect hosts - welcoming, kind and thoughtful. I am plotting another stay as soon as possible! Jane from Gamble (03 April 2016)
A charming, characterful place in a quiet and peaceful location. Excellent hosts and well placed to visit all the north devon attractions. Mark from Oxford (20 February 2016)
The accommodation was lovely and in a very peaceful environment. Sadly the weather didn't allow for walking as it was very wet and windy. I found the bed a little too high, difficult to get into, and not as comfortable as it looks. . because of the weather and the lack of double glazing the chapel smelt very damp ( a dehumidifier wouldn't go amiss in winter) but i'm sure this wouldn't be a problem in the warmer months. Overall the chapel was a very pleasant, well equipped place to stay. Stephanie from Rye/East Sussex (02 January 2016)
Beautifully decorated and equipped cottage. Friendly , welcoming owners. Little extra luxuries provided such as wine, homemade scones, tea, coffee & milk. Wonderful!. please be aware that the stairs to the bedroom are a little steep and bed is very high. If disabled may need alternative cottage. However height of luxury, stunning gardens with lots of birds to see. Dawn from Birmingham (07 November 2015)
Pleasant stay. Nice cottage in lovely gardens and grounds. Very quiet and peaceful. The equipment available was excellent and in good condition. Jane from Derbyshire (12 September 2015)
Fantastic holiday x Michelle from London (08 August 2015)
The cottage was not warm enough and the bedroom/bathroom was so uneven I could not put a top down without it rolling on the floor. It also meant sleeping on a slant. Any men should also watch out for the stairs which have a low ceiling half way down, which you can hit your head on. The estate is lovely and the free veg very delicious. Andrew from Aylesbury (01 August 2015)
Stunning property in fantastic location. The owners are so friendly and encourage the use of the grounds and picking produce from the well stocked kitchen gardens for you to cook with, they could not be more welcoming with homemade scones and a bottle of wine on arrival, a real home from home. We were delighted with our holiday at the chapel. Helen from Reading (18 July 2015)
Beautiful setting and cottage, everything you want from a relaxing time away. Well placed for exploring north devon Chrys from Swansea (27 June 2015)
Idyllic relaxing get away from the fast pace life Susan from Crawley (04 May 2015)
Amazing place to stay, the grounds were wonderful and it was located between barnstaple and bideford so easy to get around. The owners were helpful and a joy to talk to with out being intrusive, I would highly recommend staying here. . the sofa in the chapel is very uncomfortable and as we stayed in february we spent most of evenings in, but other than that the chapel was nicely furnished and we felt at home for our week long stay. Matt (21 February 2015)
Lovely place to chill out . Robert from Northampton (11 October 2014)

Wonderful holiday in a lovely setting with very caring owners, that made the holiday very special. Philip from Np25 4Ry (16 May 2014)
The chapel was a lovely cottage and there were scones and a bottle of wine waiting for us which is a lovely touch. the sofa was slightly uncomfortable and there is no wifi access, however, these are the only two downsides. we enjoyed our stay and recommend this to anyone thinking of booking. Amy from Preston (12 April 2014)
Excellent property, lovely gardens and wonderfull hosts. Dave from Portsmouth (22 March 2014)
A wonderful retreat and excellent hosts. we would love visit again with hopefully better weather. Sue from Southampton (07 February 2014)
The cottage was very cosy & we were very well cared for . it was obvious how much care had gone into the accommodation. We visited other accommodation on the estate with a view to return next year & was blown away by the very high standard & luxury of the fixtures & furnishings. Needless to say we have booked a property for 8 and will be bringing friends back with us we were so impressed. The owners katie & kevin were very attentive . the photos on the site don't convey the full luxury of the beautiful accommodation. Maggie from Windsor (04 October 2013)

Wonderful tranquil location, attractive grounds and buildings, and very welcoming, helpful and interesting owners. The bottle of wine and excellent homemade scones waiting for us on arrival were a thoughtful touch and much appreciated. Confirmed Purchaser (06 Jul 2013)
We just cant think of any bad points. The cottage was just so beautiful, the owners, who are attatched to the chaple cottage just couldn't do enough, (nothing needed), all the grounds are so well kept. We really want to go back and hopefully very soon. Melanie from Fraser (07 Jun 2013)
The owners were warm and friendly. We could pick vegetables from the walled garden. The whole place was absolutely beautiful and one couldn't hear any traffic at all. It was so peaceful and we loved every minute of our stay at webbery. Anita from Melbourne Australia (25 May 2013)

I actually stayed in garden cottage rather than chapel as the owners thought I would like that better and it was empty. Beautiful accommodation and owners were very personable - supply of scones, wine, milk etc. very nice touch, as was invitation to pick anything out of the produce garden. Customer 38 (September 2012)

Absolutely first class accommodation and excellent hosts. Customer 44 (December 2011)
Beautifully decorated and furnished converted chapel in the extensive grounds of the Webbery estate. Hosts were very welcoming (freshly made scones were a treat as was the guided tour around the two walled gardens). Customer 45 (October 2011)
The pubs and property is very quiet, but excellently located for access to all major attractions, towns, etc. It is a country stay with the ability to easily access busier areas, such as towns, beaches etc. Our hosts were perfect, as was the accommodation and surroundings. Space, plus quality in an older fashioned setting. We could not have been happier and would recommend the accommodation to anyone. We would love to return. Customer 46 (July 2011)
We had a lovely few days at this property, Kevin was very welcoming and the home made scones in the welcome pack were lovely. This will be our first choice if we visit this area again. Customer 47 (May 2011)
We had a most enjoyable holiday in this very quiet, cosy, stylish country cottage. Plenty of places to visit but great to come back and relax at end of day. Lovely grounds and made to feel very welcome. Customer 48 (April 2011)
One of the most stunning properties we have stayed in. Easy to get to nearby attractions but still feel "away from it all" when there. Fantastic welcome, wonderful hosts and special treats such as home-made scones. Highly recommended and hope to return for Christmas or New Year. Customer 49 (April 2011)
It exceeded our expectations. Our host provided an excellent welcome and the property was in a superb setting with Deer roaming the gardens. We would most definitely recommend Webbery Manor accommodation (all of it) to anyone. Customer 50 (January 2011)
Beautiful property in parkland, peaceful, and warm welcome from the owners. Customer 51 (October 2010)

Beautiful setting, friendly owners - scones and bottle of wine after a 9 & 1/2 hour journey were much appreciated. Customer 53 (July 2010)
Set in lovely grounds, so peaceful. Beautifully & luxuriously furnished to a very high quality. Large comfortable bed in very spacious bedroom with windows on 3 sides. Lovely kitchen too with home made scones to greet us on arrival. Two well stocked fruit & veg gardens from which we were encouraged to help ourselves. Fantastic hosts so friendly. They provided a 27 page guide recommending places to visit, where to eat out etc which we based our daily itinerary on. Customer 54 (July 2010)
The Webbery Estate can only be described as a "jewel in the crown" in North Devon. The accommodation was very comfortable and tranquil.
