A ten out of ten, five star accommodation. If you are looking to stay in, or near, skipton then do yourself a favour and look no further. Everything about this rental is perfect, I could not find a fault if I were paid to do so. Thanks and well done to the owners/renters. We look forward to visiting again!
Simon from Kent (08 July 2017)

We had a wonderful stay at blue buttons, the accommodation was very spacious, warm and welcoming , much more than we had expected, with a welcome pack of local cheese, wine and biscuits. The hosts were absolutely lovely very friendly and welcoming. we would definitely stay again.
Sally from Oundle, Northamptonshire (03 June 2017)

I loved everything about the property - location, amenities, overall appearance and cleanliness. the huge trees around the house and the birds in the garden were a nice extra. skipton is a nice town - not too big and not too small. would definitely recommend this property.
Virginia from Ship Bottom, Nj, Usa (20 May 2017)

A lovely roomy place with some luxury touches and a nice outlook. Great location for getting out and about and an easy walk into the town.
Joyce from Metfield Suffolk (13 May 2017)

Everything in place to ensure a perfect stay.
Tim from Thetford (29 April 2017)

After following the clear instructions, it was easy to find the cottage. we parked our car safely outside the cottage and were warmly welcomed by the owners. the first thing that took us back was just how big the cottage is compared to the pictures, it really is spacious. the cottage is well designed with top spec features and furnishings which made the evenings a pleasure after a long day of walking. . . the cottage is perfectly situated to explore the dales and surrounding areas. skipton itself was charming to stay at with supermarkets very close by along with more quirky and unique shops. we particularly enjoyed the clay and coffee shop in the town center. . we miss the quite of the country side and being woken by birds, coming back to the noise of the city has been really hard, it has been a special memory for us and we can't wait to return .
Mohamad from Leicester (15 April 2017)

Blue buttons is a stunning cottage to stay in. It is beautiful inside and out. It is very spacious and has a fabulous kitchen/ dining room with everything possible you require to cook. I loved the fridge freezer with the water and ice machine. All the rooms are very large it is so relaxing. The bed is so comfortable it's king size of course. The bathroom is stunning with a fabulous walk in shower and an amazing hot tub/ bath. . the owners are very welcoming and knowledgeable about the surrounding area and places to visit. They do not intrude on your stay .but are there to help if needed. ,as they live next door. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and have already booked to return next year.
Peter from Pontefract (01 April 2017)

We didn't find this cottage as central to the dales for us as we hoped but that's maybe our choice of things to do. it is a nice building on first arrival but we found the size and set up strange for just two people. the lounge is so vast, we were sat at opposite sides of a room and ended up moving a huge sofa to be closer together. Unfortunately the armchair and sofa have seen been days as far as comfort goes - terrible. the tv was small for the size of room and only had a basic free view package. there was no phone, which for us as carers was a big deal but luckily our mobiles did work there and there was internet connection (which ran out during our stay and the owner was quick at reinstating). on the plus side, the bed is one of the most comfortable holiday beds we've used for a long time. the kitchen/dining room over looking the back garden with its lovely birds was very enjoyable. was so looking forward to the jacuzzi bath but all the stern health warnings that went with it and the complicated controls freaked me out, so we didn't bother in the end. great boost to cottage is keelham farm shop up the road, fabulous range of goods and great eatery in own right. N.b if you smell something strange, get rid of the fire lighters in the lounge - eye wateringly bad (previous guest thought it was petrol from cars stored under house but owners still didn't work out what it was.)
Christine from Whitley Bay (11 March 2017)

Second time at blue buttons - just as good as the first! clean, comfortable and very friendly and helpful owners. excellent!
Sheila from Buntingford (29 October 2016)

Excellent accommodation - sometimes quite 'over the top' for two people! our two yogurts and bottle of milk looked quite lost in the american style fridge freezer. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming - well worth a visit.
Confirmed Guest (30 July 2016)

Best holiday ever. And that includes going abroad. Plenty to do and see. Slendid accommodation. Have recommended to friends and family.
Helen from Boston (09 July 2016)

The house was well equipped and comfortable. however our stay was spoilt by a very strong smell of petrol coming from the (owners) integral garage. this odour extended through the hall, the kitchen/diner and up the open plan stairs into the living room. a plug in air freshener had been left in the hall but this had little effect.
Joyce from Orpington (11 June 2016)

This lovely property by far surpassed out expectations and the little extras left by the lovely owners were very much appreciated . a lovely base for a relaxing de stress . thank you x
Kerry from Colchester (14 May 2016)

Lovely cottage and so warm and comfortable!
June from London (07 May 2016)

Lovely accommodation in a great location, easy walk to town across the park. . only minor comment is the living room layout with the enormous settee against an end wall rather than opposite the fire place and tv. This makes the room look and feel very sparce,. . good parking and the owners are next door, very helpful and friendly people. . definitely recommended!!!
Ben from Macclesfield (19 December 2015)

Very relaxing, would definitely recommend
Irene from West Malling (24 October 2015)

Beautiful cottage with large garden. Very well equiped kitchen and amazing bathroom. Our only problem was the lack of comfortable seating in the beautiful lounge. The sofa was too far away from the tv and as we eat out at lunch time and have lazy evenings in this was a problem. But not a big enough problem to stop us returning. On fine evenings in summer we would be sitting outside anyway.
Irene from Welwyn Garden City. Hearts. (10 October 2015)

This cottage is lovely, the double bath is fantastic very relaxing; you feel like you are at a 5 star hotel. The bed and linen are of excellent quality. the kitchen is very well equipped the large fridge freezer was great. The lounge was large we found the sofa was a long way away from the tv and it was not as comfortable as the single chair and footstool which meant we couldn't sit comfortably together. however this did not spoil the holiday as we had lovely weather, first visit to skipton will definitely be visiting again,
Avril from Durham (03 October 2015)

We have stayed at blue buttons four times. We really love staying there. It is very luxurious and comfortable. It is in an ideal location. Only five minutes walk into skipton town.
Peter from Pontefract (26 September 2015)

A perfect place to stay with a warm welcome from the lovely owners who go out of their way to make sure all is well, everything is of a very high standard, there is nothing more we could have asked for. It is somewhere we would definitely stay at again
Jacqueline from Ramsgate (12 September 2015)

The best equipped and most comfortable property I have ever stayed in.
Frances from Ely (05 September 2015)

This is really excellent accommodation and the owners were extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back again.
Anthony from Epsom (29 August 2015)

We loved staying at blue buttons. The cottage was perfect, luxurious and well appointed for a fussy cook and a professional relaxer! perfect location and fantastic hosts.
Steve from Lincolnshire (08 August 2015)

We had a fantastic time. This is by far the best we've stayed in, there is everything you could want and more and everything is top quality. We especially loved the jacuzzi/ hot tub. Just a short walk to the town and you find all the great bars and restaurants it has.
Anthony from Paisley (27 June 2015)

First class accommodation and facilities in a wonderful part of the world. we would return at the drop of a hat.
Tom from Perth (20 June 2015)

We had a lovely holiday based at blue buttons at skipton. It is ideally situated on the outskirts of skipton, within easy walking distance of the town centre and the railway station. Malhamdale and the surrounding countryside is a short drive away, and we enjoyed some great walks. Blue buttons was well equipped and comfortable to stay in
Fiona from Felixstowe (06 June 2015)

From the minute we arrived in skipton we felt like being home. The village is truly lovely. For those who want a break from the corporate hustle and bustle of life, blue buttons is perfect! felt like walking into how I imagine heaven would be if god was an interior designer!! every attention to detail had been made. I carried my slow cooker up as I am a woman who likes 'real' food on holiday not bits and bobs and was elated to find that sharon had even thought of that. There in the cupboard which housed lots of wonderful pots and pans for us 1940s housewife types..was a slow cooker! . sharon & boyd were wonderful hosts. Very friendly and very helpful should you have a need to borrow anything as I did on the first night. . highlights for us were:. 1.the bathroom was immense! spend most of the week in the giant jaccuzzi!. 2.the cottages location in skipton and location for discovering the local area eg. Harrogate and haworth. 3.the attention to detail with the furnishings. 4.nice big bed! all too often holiday cottages have tiny little beds and when you are used to a super king size at home then tiny doubles often feel like a cabin bed in comparison!. 5.the fridge/freezer.. absolutely love the crushed ice facility..great for cocktails!!
Emma from Bedford (30 May 2015)

The only let down at the cottage, was the lounge area, was basic and could be made a lot more cosy, seating arrangement, not good, uncomfortable and needed rearranging.
Beryl from Thornton Cleveleys Lancs (16 May 2015)

A worthy 5* rating.
Barbara from Glasgow (11 April 2015)

Beautiful house in a lovely town. Had a great time!
Sandra from Belfast (14 March 2015)

A really lovely cottage, that is very well equipped and furnished
Roger from Milton Keynes (28 February 2015)

Absolutely adored this luxury cottage. The owners sharon and boyd greeted us warmly and we had a lovely stay. There is everything at the cottage you need and the hot tub was amazing after a long day walking
Tracy from Rotherham (21 February 2015)

What a wonderful cottage! our hosts sharon and boyd were friendly and welcoming and the cottage was furnished and equipped to the highest standard. by far the best cottage we have ever stayed in (and we have stayed in some good ones!) and the location for walking into skipton and access to the beautiful yorkshire dales was perfect.
Sheila from Buntingford (25 October 2014)

Excellent cottage in a lovely part of yorkshire. A few minutes walk to centre of skipton, with its many excellent shops.
Heard from Cwmbran (18 October 2014)

Beautiful cottage, very luxuriously equipped with granite worktops, american style freezer, oak floors and a luxurious jacuzzi bath, hot tub, sauna. . . the cottage is very spacious, by far the largest one bedroom cottage we have stayed in. probably should be 5 star plus! . . the owners boyd and sharon were very friendly and helpful.
John from Folkestone (11 October 2014)

Cottage was beautiful with everything you needed for a relaxing stay. Owners were lovely people and very friendly as were the rest of the family. Great location to travel to visit other places and lots to do and see.
Bal from Kent (04 October 2014)

The entire package from location, property, gardens and owners was excellent. The best cottage we have ever stayed in. It really does deserve its 5* rating. Had a really enjoyable holiday,
Keith from Codicote Hertfordshire (06 September 2014)

Excellent property, well presented. Great location and very receptive owners. Add wifi and it would be perfect!
Roger from Caister-On-Sea (16 August 2014)

Very comfortable barn conversion and ideally located for skipton as everything is in walking distance. kitchen utensils (oven dishes, etc) a little sparse, but otherwise well provisioned. the garden is shared with the owners, so this is not the property to chose when wishing for privacy. however, this is made up by the fact that it is conveniently located for those wishing to be close to town.
Tanya from Abu Dhabi, Uae (09 August 2014)

A beautifully equipped cottage. thoughtful touches everywhere. lovely walk in shower. We did not use the huge jacuzzi bath as we were a little intimidated by it and would have felt guilty by the amount of water it would have used, although it looked fantastic. lovely setting and helpful hosts who were ready with recommendations. The tv could have been better placed as one of us had to sit a long way away in the big lounge. Personally I would have liked a chair to sit in that suited my iffy back, but a vast plethora of cushions solved the problem. We did miss having access to wi-fi, perhaps something for the near future? overall a wonderful place to stay.
Emma from Basingstoke (11 July 2014)

An excellent place to stay.
David from Tasmania (04 July 2014)

Lovely owners and beautiful cottage. Nicely appointed with luxurious touches. Lots to do and easy access to wide range of amenities. Good all round choice
Sandra from Chelmsford (14 June 2014)

We loved it at blue buttons - especially the wonderful bath and comfortable (and huge) bed. The cottage's proximity to both skipton and the local swimming pool, both easy walks, were an added bonus. The owners were lovely, welcoming people and were more than helpful when we needed assistance with directions etc. We will definately be back. Than you for a wonderful and chilled out break
Sarah from Stourbridge (24 May 2014)

Very well equipped and excellent owners.
Kevin from Exeter (17 May 2014)

Exceptionally high standard, without a doubt the most impressive cottage we have ever stayed in. The owners were very pleasant and helpful if needed,as indeed the whole family were. Good locations for visiting the dales.
Patricia from Warrington,Cheshire (03 May 2014)

Luxurious cottage; lovely and warm, comfy king-bed, fluffy white towels, fab jacuuzi bath and shower with lots of hot water, luxury kitchen,...we did not want to leave. Owners very welcoming. Lots of lovely walks, sights and good food in locality.
Sarah from Hertfordshire (26 April 2014)

The cottage was lovely, however, the seating arrangements in the lounge we felt were poor, the sofa was uncomfortable & a long way from the tv. . however, our stay was spoilt (we went home two days early) by the arrival at 8.00am on the wednesday of builders who were demolishing stone porches & patios on the adjacent properties where the owners & their son's family lived. . although we received a refund, as we left on the thursday morning, we felt disappointed & surprised that the owners did not come & speak to us about the situation while we were there & that the refund was no compensation for loss of holiday time we had looked forward to for a long time. we will not be staying there again.
Alan from Nottingham (05 April 2014)

We had been looking forward to our stay at blue buttons for many months. We found the property was everything we had expected and more. This property has been really planned out well. We could not find anything to disappoint us. We had a very warm welcome with the owners. The wine cheese and crackers to welcome us were very good. the highlight has to be the amazing barthroomwith the most wonderful whirlpool bath. The kitchen had everything required. It was planned out well. Loved the ice cube machine in the american fridge freezer. We will certainly be going again next year and would highly recommend blue buttons to stay. 5stars
Peter from Pontefract (15 March 2014)

Elspeth from Scunthorpe (10 August 2013)

High spec cottage. Welcome pack appreciated, owners welcoming and friendly. Only minor gripe, tv bit small for size of lounge!

Customer 57 (September 2012)

The property is very well situated with just a 10minute walk into town where there are numerous places to eat. The cottage was very well equipped with all the furniture and fittings of a very high standard especially the bed which was superb. There are so many lovely walks and places to visit from Skipton so Blue Buttons is in an ideal spot. I can certainly recommend this property.
Customer 58 (September 2012)

Beautifully presented cottage, with luxurious attention to detail, such as the massive fridge freezer which dispensed ice. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable, including ringing up before the visit to ask which kind of wine you like. we went with our 10 month son, and the owners very kindly offered a buggy for us to use so we didn't have to take ours, and even found a stair gate on the day of arrival which was very thoughtful. the owners were lovely and friendly, with an exceptional level of hospitality. The cottage is only a short walk from town so we were able to catch the train into leeds one day and do a spot of shopping, and on another day we pottered along the canal dropping into the odd pub. we found skipton the perfect location for day trips into the dales, and catching up with friends nearer leeds. One of the highlights was the hot tub in the bathroom, this was great to unwind in after a long day walking in the dales. Will certainly be recommending to our friends.
Hanna from Wantage (25 August 2012)

Great comfort and well equiped, the owners make you feel welcome

Great comfort and well equipped, the owners make you feel welcome.
Customer 62 (August 2012)

It was a fantastic cottage - best cottage I ever stayed at. The owners were incredibly helpful, and you wanted for nothing. I would actually score the cottage 100 out of 10!
Customer 63 (July 2012)

Blue Buttons is a beautiful property, very well situated for Skipton and the Yorkshire Dales. We were impressed by the exceptionally high standards of the fittings and decor, especially the kitchen and bathroom. The bed was spacious with quality bed linen ensuring a good night’s sleep. The owners, Sharon and Boyd, who live a few doors away were very welcoming and always at hand should help be required. All in all, an excellent holiday.
Customer 64 (July 2012)

The rating I have given says enough
Chris from Middlesbrough (30 June 2012)

Excellent accommodation with all needs catered for. Owners were very thoughtful.
Customer 66 (May 2012)

The property provided my wife and I with the perfect week away, comfortable and yet modern with everything we needed - not always an easy combination to achieve. The bathroom was luxurious and the bed amongst the most comfortable I have ever slept on. The greatest compliment I can pay the property was trying to book a few more days on the Friday before leaving but sadly someone else had beaten me to it.
Customer 67 (March 2012)

This accommodation is superb. Facilities are excellent. Nicely situated close to town. Easy walk through park to town centre via canal. Two supermarkets nearby. Worth investing £1 for town map at tourist office in town hall. Plenty of Pubs Restaurants and shops in town. Take a trip to Fountains Abbey on a fine day or to Boundary Mill in Colne if wet.
Customer 68 (March 2012)

Blue Buttons was 5 star holiday accommodation, and we would happily recommend it to everyone. As soon as we returned from our holiday we booked to go back again in the Spring. It was absolutely fantastic!
Customer 69 (October 2011)

A beautiful cottage with excellent facilities. A quick phone call when we arrived at the location, and someone was there to show us how everything worked. We were provided with tea coffee sugar and milk. Also a bottle of wine, cheese, crackers and chocolate. Very thoughtful. Only one negative. Perhaps another small armchair could be provided for the sitting area, as a second person has to sit some distance from the tv.
Customer 70 (October 2011)

Nothing was spared in the quality of furnishings, fittings and products and plenty of parking. A very quiet location but 10 to 15 minutes walk to Skipton centre. Would recommend Le Bistro in Skipton as a good place to eat.
Customer 71 (September 2011)

Blue Buttons has amazing comfort and style. It is a lovely cottage close to town yet in it’s own grounds. We hope to go back again some time soon. The owners Boyd and Sharon are very welcoming. Blue Buttons has everything anyone could need on holiday plus more! A true home from home. Skipton is a wonderful little town with so much to do.
Customer 72 (August 2011)

The cottage is fitted out to a really high standard - it definitely deserves it’s five star rating. We stayed in August, but I’d imagine that it would be really cosy in the winter with the log-burning stove, the spa bath and the huge bed! The owners were also really friendly and welcoming - with cheese and wine waiting for us on arrival. I’d definitely recommend this property - it was an ideal base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales, with lots of good walking and pretty villages nearby.
Customer 73 (August 2011)

The cottage was amazing, very modern and clean. It is certainly 5* accommodation. The owners were very friendly and helpful. This is the best cottage we have stayed in by far.

Customer 90 (June 2010)

The design of the interior was superb with modern comfortable quality furnishings. The kitchen was again of superior quality fittings and the bathroom could only be described as luxurious.
Customer 91 (May 2010)

A superior cottage providing deluxe accommodation within easy walking distance of Skipton town centre. We were made extremely welcome by the owner, who was on hand to provide any information we required. We could certainly recommend this cottage to anyone wanting a luxurious holiday amongst friendly surroundings and with the Yorkshire Dales so close for exploring. Cannot recommend it highly enough!
Customer 92 (May 2010)

What a place to stay! Pure luxury, super owners. Extremely helpful without being ’in your face,’ as they say. If we go to the area again (we tend to go somewhere different each time) we would certainly want to stay with Sharon and Boyd again.
