Right in the centre of llandeilo, which was great for walking to cafes, pubs, fish and chip shop etc, but did mean the cottage had very limited outdoor space - just a small yard. Inside, the cottage is very well appointed in a quirky style and has good quality furniture and equipment. We did feel there was a lack of clothes storage for two people for a week's stay (perhaps a chest of drawers could be put on the landing?) and there didn't seem to be any table mats or coasters! other than these very minor quibbles, we had a lovely stay. Sally from Flintshire (28 July 2017)
Nicely presented - loved the decor. Open and spacious. Very comfortable bed. Bathroom is pretty but the bath on feet is quite high off the floor - a bit problematic when getting out! no dishwasher so more focus on lots of tea towels, fresh scourers etc would be good. Also, could do with instructions for the cooker. Some clarity re parking would be good: property is billed as having 2 parking spaces but the neighbours think otherwise!! location is great - we loved llandeilo. Walking is wonderful. Fantastic location and cottage Paul (02 June 2017)
Had a lovely few days at bank cottage . had everything we needed for our short break. Had trouble working cooker /hob and couldnt find instructions. Managed to work it out on last day but apart from that ideal and would recommend. Joy from Coventry (28 March 2017)
This was our second visit and loved how close it was to the local amenities. Martin from Swansea (29 January 2017)
Lovely cottage for two. well decorated and furnished. All the kithen equipment that we needed. . comfy lounge, snug bed, relaxing bath. . llandelio has some fabulous walks and gorgeous scenery. . . recommend you try the gin house. . . directions were perfect, but it is tucked away, parking right outside. Phil from Cheltenham (22 January 2017)
We enjoyed our time at bank cottage and the welcoming chocolate and wine was much appreciated. the cottage was comfortable and we felt very much at home. It was close to local shops, pubs and other amenities yet very quiet. we would certainly stay there again and are already considering doing so at another time to year to see the beautiful carmarthenshire countryside in a different season. Hugh from Barnet (23 September 2016)
Cosy, pet friendly cottage with parking outside front door. Good for visiting national botanical gardens and several castles. Carol from Ellesmere (09 September 2016)
I cannot recommend bank cottage highly enough. We had a wonderful week, helped by the thoughtful additions to the cottage. The kitchen was well equipped, the welcome gifts delightful and the spare bits and bobs for the dogs, such as spare towels, tennis ball and bowls a great idea. The owners were incredibly nice and we felt so very welcome in this stunning pocket of wales. Would return in an instant. . . the nearby pub ( the angel) serves great food and the service was so good that we ate there more than once. Jules from Salisbury (02 September 2016)
This beautifully appointed cottage. Has everything you may posibly need and the location is so central! Cecilia from Kidwelly (03 July 2016)
We enjoyed staying at bank cottage. It is cosy and well equipped with a comfortable bed. As walkers we had great access to some lovely walks, and the lovely town of llandillo right on the doorstop! Anne from Newport (17 June 2016)
Our second stay in this cosy and comfortable cottage in the heart of llandeilo. despite being in the centre of the town, it is on a quiet back street and is therefore very peaceful. Sarah from Southsea (03 January 2016)
Fabuolus llandeilo and a sweet boutique cottage, great pub the angel with very friendly staff and good food, fantastic gin haus bar with great atmosphire and lovely food and deli Claire from Surrey (28 December 2015)
The cottage was comfortable and well equipped. Everything you could hope to find in a self-catered cottage was there. The welcome pack was much appreciated. All local produce, including bread, butter, biscuits and exquisite chocolates. Lovely village to explore. Within an easy drive of many, many local attractions. Alan from Adelaide, Australia (07 November 2015)
This was a great cottage the only thing that let it down was some of the information in the folders. It said the angel hotel was open 12-4 on sunday and when we went it was closed. We had planned to eat sunday lunch there. No where was open so we had to have a take away not our choice. I did text the owner as we left to hi light this to her. Apparentlythe angel hotel don't open sunday's at all at ! Karen from Brentwood Essex (10 October 2015)
We had a good holiday and were lucky with the weather. Our only significant disappointment was that llandeilo was not the "foodie haven" we thought it would be. Although the angel pub and the loft tapas bar saved us. There is a lot to see and do in the surrounding area. Mary from Plymouth (11 September 2015)
Beautifully decorated, lovely village, perfect for couples Joe from Wakefield (31 August 2015)
We had a great time, the only complain I have, is about the garden, it was looking sad :( I think with a good care of the garden bank will be an excellent cottage to stay and enjoy your time off ;) Daniela from London (29 August 2015)
Very comfortable and well equipped. the only issue was the stairs - my wife is slightly disabled and had to be very careful of the narrow treads. we were delighted with all the welcome items - milk, bread, etc, and prosecco! would definitely stay again. John from Abingdon (14 August 2015)
Terrific little house for 2 people. On a personal level , the area did not quite appeal to us , but sure it would suit many others. Jim from Bankfoot , Perth (24 July 2015)
A very comfortable typical terraced house just behind the main street in llandeilo. it has been refurbished to a high standard and we felt very much at home and would recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy the delights of the surrounding area. our highlight was badger watching in the local nt park. Vanessa from Ruislip (10 July 2015)
A real gem of a cottage. Highly recommend. James from Milton Keynes (16 March 2015)
A lovely cottage, perfect for a romantic break. The cottage is tucked away and it's very peaceful. Also has everthing you need for self catering. Ann-Marie from Manchester (09 November 2014)
Amazing stylish decor, very clean and comfortable, fantastically equipped plus lovely welcome extras and very friendly helpful owners. Ali from Reading (05 October 2014)
Ideally situated next to the pub (where they serve excellent meals), bank cottage is compact, clean and comfortable with stylish decor. we enjoyed our stay and found it a great base for exploring the countryside, castles and even the coast. Elizabeth from Hungerford (03 October 2014)
The location is pretty awful. there is no view and you look out onto a rather grubby property at the front and a backyard at the back. the lighting is too dim making it almost impossible to read at night in the sitting room. the bedroom and bathroom lights are fine. Despite this criticism I have to say that internally the overall quality of the kitchen, bedroom, sitting room and bathroom (see below) are exceptionally high and the owners made a real, and largely successful effort to provide a warm welcome. Frank from London (29 August 2014)
Having used cottages 4 u for many years now we have to say this is one of the nicest cottages we have ever stayed in. it is situated in such a lovely location as well. the owners also own the dog friendly pub in the village which serves great food an drink an dour basset hounds loved both the pub & cottage. on arrival we were greeted with chocolates and preseco which was a nice touch. the cottage is kitted to a very high standard and everything you need for a short break away is there. highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a break in mid / south wales! Richard from Stoke On Trent (11 August 2014)
Perfect for couples, I went with my boyfriend for my 21st birhday the location was great with beautiful sceneary. Would definatly stay again! Jennifer from Bristol (29 June 2014)
